Dua at Multazim

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنَّکَ قُلْتَ فِی کِتَابِکَ وَ قَوْلُکَ الحَقُّ

allahumma innaka qulta fii kitabika waqawlakal haqqu

O Allah; You have said in Your Book And You say only the truth :

وَ أَذِّنْ فِی النَّاسِ بِالحَجِّ یَأْتُوْکَ رِجَالاً

waadhinfinnasi bilhajji yaatuka rijaalan

“And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage

وَ عَلٰی کُلِّ ضَامِرٍ یَأْتِیْنَ مِنْ کُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِیْقٍ

waala kulli zaamiriin yaatiina min kulli fajjin amiiq.

They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, Coming from every Remote path.”

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَرْجُو اَنْ اَکُوْنَ مِمَّنْ اَجَابَ دَعْوَتَکَ

allahuma inni arjuu an akuunu minuman ajaaba daawataka

O Allah; I do wish That I would be One of those who Have responded to Your call…

وَقَدْ جِئْتُ مِنْ شُقَّۃٍ بَعِیدَۃٍ وَ فَجٍّ عَمِیقٍ

waqad jiitu min shuqqatin baiidatin wafajjin amiiqin

And I have come From a long Distance and a Remote path,

سَامِعًا لِنِدَائِکَ وَ مُسْتَجِیْبًا لَکَ مُطِیعًا لِاَمْرِکَ

saamian linidaaika wamustajiiban laka mutiian liamrika

Listening to your call and responding to you And obeying your order

وَ کُلُّ ذٰلِکَ بِفَضْلِکَ عَلیَّ وَ اِحْسَانِکَ

wakullu dhalika bifazlika alayya waihsaanika

All that is due to Your bestowal of Favor on me And Your nice conferral on me.

اِلیَّ فَلَکَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰی مَا وَفَّقْتَنِی لَہٗ اَبْتَغِی

ilayyafalakal hamdu alla man waffaqtanii lahu abtaghill

So, all praise be to You for the success That You have Conferred upon me

بِذٰلِکَ الزُّلْفَۃَ عِنْدَکَ وَالقُرْبَۃَ اِلَیْکَ

bidhalika-zulfata indaka walqurbata ilaika

Seeking closeness to You and nearness

وَالمَنْزِلَۃَ لَدَیْکَ وَ الْمَغْفِرَۃَ لِذُنُوْبِی

walmanzilata ladaika walmaghfirata lidhunubii

and A high standing with You And forgiveness of My sins

وَ الْتَّوبَۃَ عَلَیَّ مِنْہَا بِمَنِّکَ

wattawbatw alayya mibha bimannika.

And acceptance of My repentance, Out of Your favour.

اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allahumma salli alaa muhammadin waali muhammad

O Allah; (please) Bless Muhammad and the Household Of Muhammad

وَ حَرِّمْ بَدَنِی عَلَی النَّارِ وَآمِنِّی مِنْ عَذَابِکَ

waharrim badanii ala-nnari waaminii min adhabika

And forbid Hellfire From consuming my body And secure me From Your chastisement and Punishment,

وَ عِقَابِکَ بِرَحْمَتِکَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الَّراحِمِیْنَ

waiqabika berahmatika yaa arhamarrahimin

In the name of Your mercy, O Most Merciful of All those who show mercy.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا، وَفِي أَوَّلِ مَنَاسِكِي، أَنْ تَقْبَلَ تَوْبَتِي

Allahumma inni as'aluka fi maqami hadha, wa fi awwali manasiki, an taqbala tawbati

O Allah! I beseech You in this holy place and in the first of my ceremonies to accept my repentance.

وَأَنْ تَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيئَتِي، وَتَضَعَ عَنِّي وِزْرِي

wa an tatajawaza 'an khati'ati, wa tada'a 'anni wizri

Forgive my sins and relieve me of the load (of sin) on my back.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي بَلَّغَنِي بَيْتَهُ الْحَرَامَ

Al-hamdu lillahi-lladhi ballaghani baytahul-haram

All praise be to Allah who helped me reach the Holy House.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ هَذَا بَيْتُكَ الْحَرَامُ

Allahumma inni ash-hadu anna hadha baytukal-haram

O Allah! I bear witness to You that this is Your Holy House.

الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ مَثَابَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَأَمْناً مُبَارَكاً وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ

alladhi ja'altahu mathabatan lin-nasi wa amnan mubarakan wa hudan lil-'alamin

Which You have made a refuge for men, a blessed place and a guide for the worlds.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ، وَالْبَلَدُ بَلَدُكَ، وَالْبَيْتُ بَيْتُكَ

Allahumma inni 'abduka, wal-baladu baladuka, wal-baytu baytuka

O Allah! I am Your servant, this city is Your city and this House is Your House.

جِئْتُ أَطْلُبُ رَحْمَتَكَ، وَأَؤُمُّ طَاعَتَكَ، مُطِيعاً لِأَمْرِكَ، رَاضِياً بِقَدَرِكَ

ji'tu atlubu rahmataka, wa a'ummu ta'ataka, muti'an li-amrika, radiyan bi-qadarika

I have come here to seek Your mercy and submit to You, following Your command and content with Your arrangement of destiny.

أَسْأَلُكَ مَسْأَلَةَ الْفَقِيرِ إِلَيْكَ، الْخَائِفِ لِعُقُوبَتِكَ

as'aluka mas'alatal-faqiri ilayka, al-kha'ifi li-'uqubatika

I ask as a beggar fearful of Your punishment.

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِطَاعَتِكَ وَمَرْضَاتِكَ

Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatika, was-ta'milni bi-ta'atika wa mardatika

O Allah! Open for me the gates of Your mercy and keep me occupied in obedience to You and seeking Your pleasure.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ اَیُّہَا النَّبِیُّ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہِ وَ بَرَکَاتُہٗ

Assalamu alika ayyuha-nabiyu warḥmatullahi wabarakatuhu

Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ وَ بِاللّٰہِ وَ مِنَ اللّٰہِ وَ مَا شَآءَ اللّٰہُ

Bismillahi wa billahi wa mina Allahi wa mā shā’a Allahu

In the name of Allah, by Allah, from Allah, and whatever Allah wills.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی اَنْبِیَآءِ اللّٰہِ وَ رُسُلِہٖ

Assalamu ‘alā anbiyā’i Allah wa rusulihi

Peace be upon the prophets of Allah and His messengers.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ

Assalamu ‘alā rasūlillāh

Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی اِبْرَاہِیْمَ خَلِیْلِ اللّٰہِ

Assalamu ‘alā Ibrāhīm khalīlillāh

Peace be upon Ibrahim, the friend of Allah.

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِینَ

Wal-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-‘ālamīn

And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ وَ بِاللّٰہِ وَ مِنَ اللّٰہِ وَ اِلَی اللّٰہِ وَ مَا شَآءَ اللّٰہُ

bismillahi wabillahi waminallhi waillallhi wamashaalahu

commence by the Name of Allah, by Him, from Him, towards Him, by His wish

وَ عَلٰی مِلَّۃِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَیْہِ وَ آلِہٖ

waalaa millati rasulillahi sailallahu alaihi waalihi

and on the following of the Holy Messenger (s)

وَ خَیْرُ الْاَسْمَآءِ لِلہِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلہِ

wakhairul-asmaillahi walhamdullilahi.

The Holy Names belong to Allah. All praise is to Allah.

وَ السَّلاَمُ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

wassalamu alaa rasulillahe.

Peace be with the Messenger of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

assalamu alaa muhammad ibn-abdillahi.

Peace be with Muhammad, son of Abdullah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ اَیُّہَا النَّبِیُّ وَ رَحْمَۃُ اللهِ وَ بَرَکَاتُہٗ

assalamu alaika ayyuhannabiyyu warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

Peace be with you, O Prophet of Allah and may the mercy and blessings of Allah be with you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی اَنْبِیَآءِ اللهِ وَ رُسُلِہٖ

assalamu ala anbiyyae'llahe wa rosolehi

Peace be with the Prophets of Allah and His Messengers.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلٰی خَلِیْلِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ

assalamu ala khalililahe-rrahmani.

Peace be with Ibrahim, the friend of the Merciful.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَی الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

assalamu alal-muraliin walhamdulillahi rabilaalaamin.

Peace be with the Prophets. All praise is to Allah, the Sustainer of the universes.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْنَا وَ عَلٰی عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِیْنَ

assalamu alaina waalaa ibadillhi-ssalihin.

Peace be with us and on the virtuous servants of Allah.

اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allahuma salli-alaa Muhammadin wa aale Muhammadin

O Allah! Send Your blessings on Muhammad and his progeny,

وَ بَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wabarik alaa Muhammadin waali Muhammad.

bestow on them Your benediction

وَ ارْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

warham Muhammadin waali Muhammad

bestow on them Your benediction

کَمَا صَلَّیْتَ وَ بَارَکْتَ وَ تَرَحَّمْتَ

kama sallaita wabarakta watarahamta

as Your blessed, sent benediction and had mercy

عَلٰی اِبْرَاہِیْمَ وَ آلِ اِبْرَاہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْدٌ

alla Ebrahima waali Ebrahima innaka hamidul-majid

on Ebrahim and his progeny, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahuma salli ala Muhammadin waali Mahammadin

O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his progeny,

عَبْدِکَ وَ رَسُوْلِکَ

abdika warasulika.

Your servant and Messenger.

اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی اِبْرَاہِیْمَ خَلِیْلِکَ

allahumma salli ala Ebrahima khaalilika

O Allah! Bless Ibrahim, Your friend

وَ عَلٰی اَنْبِیَآءِکَ وَ رُسُلِکَ

waalaa anbiyaika warusulika

and Your Prophets and Messengers

وَ سَلِّمْ عَلَیْہِمْ وَ سَلاَمٌ عَلَی الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ

wassalim alaihim wasalamum alal mursalin

and bestow peace on them. Peace be with the Messengers.

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

walhamdulillahi rabbil – aalamin.

All praise is to Allah, the Sustainer of the universes.

اَللّٰہُمَّ افْتَحْ لِیْ اَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِکَ وَ اسْتَعْمِلْنِیْ فِیْ طَاعَتِکَ

allahummaftahli abwaaba rahmatika wastaamilnii fii tatika

O Allah! Open for me the gates of Your mercy. Keep me occupied in Your obedience

وَ مَرْضَاتِکَ وَ احْفَظْنِیْ بِحِفْظِ الْاِیْمَانِ

wamar-zaatika wahfaznii bifzil liman

and seeking Your pleasure. Protect me that I guard my faith

اَبَدًا مَّا اَبْقَیْتَنِیْ جَلَّ ثَنَآءُ وَجْہِکَ

abadan maa abqaitanii jalla sanaauwajhika

to my last, Exalted is Your Praise

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ الَّذِیْ جَعَلَنِیْ مِنْ وَفْدِہٖ وَ زُوَّارِہٖ

alhamdulillahi-llazii jaalanii min wafdihi wazuwaarihi

All praise to Allah who made me one of His callers and visitors,

وَ جَعَلَنِیْ مِمَّنْ یَّعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَہٗ

wajaa-lani mimman yaamuru masajidahu

attendants in His Mosque

وَ جَعَلَنِیْ مِمَّنْ یُنَاجِیْہِ

wajaalanii mimman yunajiihi.

and made me among those who supplicate with him

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ عَبْدُکَ وَ زَآئِرُکَ فِیْ بَیْتِکَ

allahumma inni abduka wazairuka fii baitika

O Allah! I am Your servant and visitor to Your House.

وَ عَلٰی کُلِّ مَاْتِیٍّ حَقٌّ لِمَنْ اٰتٰیہُ وَ زَارَہٗ

waallaa kulli maatiyyin haqqun liman ataahu wazarrahu

There are rights of callers over the host

وَ اَنْتَ خَیْرُ مَاْتِیٍّ وَ اَکْرَمُ مَزُوْرٍ

waanta khairu maatiyyin waakramu mazurin

and You are the best of the givers and the most Generous.

فَاَسْئَلُکَ یَا اَللّٰہُ یَا رَحْمٰنُ

faasaluka ya Allah ya Rahman

I beseech You, O Allah! O Merciful,

بِاَنَّکَ اَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ اِلٰہَ اِلاَّ اَنْتَ وَحْدَکَ لاَ شَرِیْکَ لَکَ

biannaka anta-llahu lailaha illa anta wahdaka laa sharika laka

You are Allah, there is no God but You, You have no partner,

بِاَنَّکَ وَاحِدٌ اَحَدٌ صَمَدٌ لَمْ تَلِدْ وَ لَمْ تُوْلَدْ

wabiannaka waahidun ahadun samadun lam yalid walam tulad

for You are One and on whom all depend. You were not born and do not give birth

وَ لَمْ یَکُنْ لَہٗ کُفُوًا اَحَدٌ

walam yakullahu kufuwan ahad

and there is none like You.

وَ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُکَ وَ رَسُوْلُکَ

waana muhammadan abduka warasuluka

Truly, Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger,

صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَیْہِ وَ عَلٰی اَہْلِ بَیْتِہٖ

sallallahu alihi waalaa ahlibaitihii

may Your blessings be on him and his Household.

یَا جَوَادُ یَا کَرِیْمُ یَا مَاجِدُ یَا جَبَّارُ یَا کَرِیْمُ

ya jawadu yaa karimu ya majidu ya jabbaru ya kaimu

O Magnanimous, O Generous, O Glorious, O Mighty, O Generous,

اَسْئَلُکَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ تُحْفَتَکَ اِیَّایَ

asaluka antajaala tuhfataka iyyaya

I beseech You that of the gifts You grant me

بِزِیَارَتِیْ اِیَّاکَ اَوَّلَ شَیْءٍ تُعْطِیْنِیْ

biziyaratii iyyaka awwala shaiin tuutimii

for visiting You, the first be

فَکَاکَ رَقَبَتِیْ مِنَ النَّارِ

fakaka rakabatii minannari.

the protection from the fire of Hell

اَللّٰہُمَّ فُکَّ رَقَبَتِیْ مِنَ النَّارِ.

allahumma fukka rakabatil minnanar.

O Allah! Save my neck from the fire of Hell

وَ اَوْسِعْ عَلَیَّ مِنْ رِزْقِکَ الْحَلاَلِ الطَّیِّبِ

alahumma waawsia alayya minrizqikal halalittayyibi

And increase my lawful and pure sustenance

وَ ادْرَءْ عَنِّیْ شَرَّ شَیَاطِیْنِ الْجِنِّ وَ الْاِنْسِ

wadra annii sharra shayatiinil insi

and protect me from the evil of the devils, jinn and men

وَ شَرَّ فَسَقَۃِ الْعَرَبِ وَ الْعَجَمِ

waljinni washarra fasaqatil arabi walajami

and the godless of the Arabs and the non-Arabs

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ بِاللهِ وَ عَلٰي مِلَّةِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

Bismillahi wabillahi waalaa millati resulillahi

I commence by the Name of Allah and on the following of the Holy Messenger

صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهٖ

sallallahu alaihi waalihi.

peace be upon him and his progeny.

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ فِیْ مَقَامِیْ ہٰذَا

Allahuma inii asaluka fii maqamii hazaa

O Allah, I ask You at this standing place of mine,

وَ فِی اَوَّلِ مَنَاسِکِیْ اَنْ تَقْبَلَ تَوْبَتِیْ

Wafii awwali manasikii an taqbala tawbatī

And at the start of my rites, to accept my repentance.

وَ اَنْ تَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِیْٓئَتِیْ وَ اَنْ تَضَعَ عَنِّیْ وِزْرِیْ

Wa an tatajawaza ‘an khaṭī’ati wa an taḍa‘a ‘annī wizrī

And to forgive my errors and remove my burdens.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ الَّذِیْ بَلَّغَنِیْ بَیْتَہُ الْحَرَامَ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhillaḏī ballaghanī bayta-hul ḥarām

All praise be to Allah who brought me to His Sacred House.

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَشْہَدُ اَنَّ ہٰذَا بَیْتُکَ الْحَرَامُ الَّذِیْ

Allahumma innī ash-hadu anna hādhā baytuka al-ḥarāmul laḏī

O Allah, I bear witness that this is Your Sacred House,

جَعَلْتَہٗ مَثَابَۃً لِلنَّاسِ وَ اَمْنًا مُبَارَکًا

Ja‘altahu mathābatan linnās wa amnan mubārakan

Which You made a place of return for mankind, safe and blessed,

وَ ہُدًی لِلْعَالَمِیْنَ

Wa hudan lil-‘ālamīn

And guidance for the worlds.

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ عَبْدُکَ وَ الْبَلَدَ بَلَدُکَ

Allahumma innī ‘abduka wal-balad baladuka

O Allah, I am Your servant and this land is Your land,

وَ الْبَیْتَ بَیْتُکَ جِئْتُ اَطْلُبُ رَحْمَتَکَ

Wal-baytu baytuka ji’tu aṭlubu raḥmataka

And the House is Your House, I have come seeking Your mercy.

وَ اَؤُمُّ طَاعَتَکَ مُطِیْعًا لِاَمْرِکَ رَاضِیًا بِقَدَرِکَ

Wa’ummu ṭā‘ataka muṭī‘an li-amrika rāḍiyan bi-qadrika

And I intend to obey You, obedient to Your command, content with Your decree.

اَسْئَلُکَ مَسْاَلَۃَ الْفَقِیْرِ اِلَیْکَ الْخَآئِفِ لِعُقُوْبَتِک

As’aluka masālatal faqīr ilayka al-khā’if li-‘uqūbatika

I ask You as the poor and fearful one before Your punishment.

اَللّٰہُمَّ افْتَحْ لِیْ اَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِکَ

Allahumma iftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatika

O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy,

وَ اسْتَعْمِلْنِیْ بِطَاعَتِکَ وَ مَرْضَاتِکَ

Wa ista‘milnī bi ṭā‘atika wa marḍātika

And employ me in obedience to You and Your pleasure.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ الَّذِیْ عَظَّمَکِ وَ شَرَّفَکِ وَ کَرَّمَکِ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhillaḏī ‘aẓẓamaki wa sharrafa ki wa karramaki

All praise is to Allah who has honored you, exalted you, and glorified you.

وَ جَعَلَکِ مَثَابَۃً لِلنَّاسِ

Wa ja‘alaki mathābatan linnās

And made you a place of return for people,

وَ اَمْنًا مُبَارَکًا وَ ہُدًی لِلْعَالَمِیْنَ

Wa amnan mubārakan wa hudan lil-‘ālamīn

A safe and blessed place, and guidance for the worlds.
