Roadmap

What we are working on next. When something is done, it moves to the changelog.

English audio for every item

A spoken English reading of the translation for every dua, ziyarat and amal, to listen to alongside the Arabic or on its own. The English will be a generated voice; the Arabic recitations stay as they are, recorded by people.

A developer API, and the code opened

An API so that other apps and sites can draw on the same texts, translations and recordings, and the source code of Duas Online opened for anyone to read and build on.

Commentaries by the ulema

Commentaries on the duas by the ulema, gathered and attached to the duas they explain, so the explanation of a passage sits beside it.

Accessible to every reader

Proper support for readers who are blind or partially sighted, who have dyslexia, or who read with a screen reader or a keyboard alone: a dyslexia-friendly typeface, larger text and spacing, high contrast, and every control named and reachable.

Pages of several duas, in sections

Where a page holds more than one dua, such as the duas for each day of the week and the ta'qibat after each prayer, each dua becomes its own section that opens and closes, with its own Listen and Present buttons, so you can go straight to the one you want.

Word by word with the recitation

Where a dua already follows its recitation line by line, each word lights up as the reciter reaches it, so your eye never loses the place in the Arabic. Suggested by a reader.

Pages for visiting the shrines

A page for each shrine, laid out like an amal: the ziyarats, duas and acts for a visit to the Imam (a), in the order they are performed, from arriving to taking leave. Suggested by a reader.
