Privacy
What Duas Online collects, the services it uses, and the choices you have.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how people find the site. In the UK, the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, it sets cookies only if you allow them: until you choose, and if you say no, it counts page views without cookies, so it cannot recognise you from one visit to the next. Elsewhere it sets cookies unless you turn them off below.
Google explains how it uses this information on its own site.
Prayer times and your location
To show prayer times, the site needs to know roughly where you are. It asks Cloudflare, which hosts the site, to place you to within your city from your network address, or ipapi.co if Cloudflare cannot. Your exact location is used only if you tap for it, and is then kept on your device. The coordinates go to AlAdhan, which works out the times.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we keep your message, the page you sent it from, the name and version of your browser, and your email address if you give one, so that we can reply. To stop floods of messages, we also keep a coded form of your network address, which changes every day.
What we count
We count how many times each dua and amal is opened, to show the most read, and how many votes each item on the roadmap has. Each count is only a number: it holds nothing about who opened the page or who voted. Which items you voted for is kept on your device.
On your device
Your settings, such as theme and text size, your exact location if you share it, your answer about analytics cookies, and the duas you keep for offline reading stay in your browser on this device. They are not sent to us.
Other services
Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps request logs for a few days to run and protect it. Some fonts load from Google Fonts, and recitations play from duas.org, which hosts them. As with any website, each of these sees your network address when your browser fetches from it.
