Dua Tawassul of Khwaja Nasir al-Din al-Tusi

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ الْاُمِّيِّ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā an-nabiyyi al-ummiyyi

O' Allah! Send blessing, peace and increase mercy on the unlettered Prophet,

الْعَرَبِيِّ الْهَاشِمِيِّ الْقُرَشِيِّ الْمَكِّيِّ الْمَدَنِيِّ الْاَبْطَحِيِّ التَّهَامِيِّ

al-'arabiyyi al-hāshimiyyi al-qurashiyyi al-makkiyyi al-madaniyyi al-abtahiyyi at-tihāmiyyi,

an Arab, Hashemite, Qurayshite, a Meccan, and Medinite, a tolerant and a Tuhamite,

اَلسَّيِّدِ الْبَهِيِّ

as-sayyidi al-bahiyyi,

the glorious master,

اَلسِّرَاجِ الْمُضِيْءِ

as-sirāji al-mudī'i,

the luminous light,

اَلْكَوْكَبِ الدُّرِّيِّ

al-kawkabi ad-durriyyi,

the sparkling stars,

صَاحِبِ الْوَقَارِ وَالسَّكِيْنَةِ

sāhibi al-waqāri wa as-sakīnati,

who possess dignity and tranquility,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِالْمَدِيْنَةِ

al-madfūni bi-al-madīnati,

who was buried in Medina,

اَلْعَبْدِ الْمُؤَيَّدِ

al-'abdi al-mu'ayyadi,

the supported servant,

وَالرَّسُوْلِ الْمُسَدَّدِ

wa ar-rasūli al-musaddadi,

the delivered Messenger,

اَلْمُصْطَفَى الْاَمْجَدِ

al-mustafā al-amjadi,

the selected and glorified one,

اَلْمَحْمُوْدِ الْاَحْمَدِ

al-mahmūdi al-ahmadi,

the praised and commended one,

حَبِيْبِ اِلٰهِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

habībi ilāhi al-'ālamīna,

the beloved of the Lord of the worlds,

وَسَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

wa sayyidi al-mursalīna,

the master of the Messengers and the seal of the Prophets,

وَخَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

wa khātami an-nabiyyīna,

the intercessor for the wrong doers,

وَشَفِيْعِ الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ

wa shafī'i al-mudhnibīna,

the mercy to the worlds,

وَرَحْمَةٍ لِلْعَالَمِيْنَ

wa rahmatin lil-'ālamīna,

the father of Al-Qasim, Muhammad, blessing of Allah be upon him and upon his holy family.

اَبِي الْقَاسِمِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ

abī al-qāsimi muhammadin sallā allāhu 'alayhi wa ālih.

Blessing and peace be upon You, O' the father of Al-Qasim, O' the Messenger of Allah,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا الْقَاسِمِ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā al-qāsimi yā rasūla allāhi,

O' the leader of mercy,

يَا اِمَامَ الرَّحْمَةِ

yā imāma ar-rahmati,

O' the intercessor of the nation,

يَا شَفِيْعَ الْاُمَّةِ

yā shafī'a al-ummati,

O' the proof of Allah on his creations,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

O' our chief and master, we concentrates, seeking for intercession and means through you to Allah,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

we presented our demand in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

intercede for us before Allah.

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

O' Allah! Send blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on the purified master,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الْمُطَهَّرِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi al-mutahhari,

the successful leader,

وَالْاِمَامِ الْمُظَفَّرِ

wa al-imāmi al-muzaffari,

the brave lion,

وَالشُّجَاعِ الْغَضَنْفَرِ

wa ash-shujā'i al-ghadanfari,

the father of Hasan and Husayn,

اَبِيْ شُبَيْرَ وَشَبَرَ

abī shubayra wa shabara,

the distributor of Paradise and Hell,

قَاسِمِ طُوْبَى وَسَقَرَ

qāsimi tūbā wa saqara,

who possess wide belly,

اَلْاَنْزَعِ الْبَطِيْنِ

al-anza'i al-batīni,

strong and embolden,

اَلْاَشْجَعِ الْمَتِيْنِ

al-ashja'i al-matīni,

firm integrity,

اَلْاَشْرَفِ الْمَكِيْنِ

al-ashrafi al-makīni,

the obvious scholar,

اَلْعَالِمِ الْمُبِيْنِ

al-'ālimi al-mubīni,

the helper and patron,

اَلنَّاصِرِ الْمُعِيْنِ

an-nāsiri al-mu'īni,

the guardian of the Religion,

وَلِيِّ الدِّيْنِ

waliyyi ad-dīni,

the guardian of the guardians,

اَلْوَالِيِ الْوَلِيِّ

al-wāliyi al-waliyyi,

the pleasant master,

اَلسَّيِّدِ الرَّضِيِّ

as-sayyidi ar-radiyyi,

the leader of the executors,

اَلْاِمَامِ الْوَصِيِّ

al-imāmi al-wasiyyi,

who judge with clear text of the Qur'an,

اَلْحَاكِمِ بِالنَّصِّ الْجَلِيِّ

al-hākimi bi-an-nassi al-jaliyyi,

who possess clear sincerity,

اَلْمُخْلِصِ الصَّفِيِّ

al-mukhlisi as-safiyyi,

who was buried in Garriy,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِالْغَرِيِّ

al-madfūni bi-al-ghariyyi,

lion the son of the conqueror,

لَيْثِ بَنِيْ غَالِبٍ

laythi banī ghalibin,

the exterior of astonishment,

مَظْهَرِ الْعَجَائِبِ

mazhari al-'ajā'ibi,

the endorser of every stages,

وَمُظْهِرِ الْغَرَائِبِ

wa muzhiri al-gharā'ibi,

the separator of fashions,

وَمُفَرِّقِ الْكَتَائِبِ

wa mufarriqi al-katā'ibi,

the penetrating star,

وَالشِّهَابِ الثَّاقِبِ

wa ash-shihābi ath-thāqibi,

the passive lion,

وَالْهِزَبْرِ السَّالِبِ

wa al-hizabri as-sālibi,

the point of circle of request,

نُقْطَةِ دَائِرَةِ الْمَطَالِبِ

nuqtati dā'irati al-matālibi,

the conqueror lion of God,

اَسَدِ اللهِ الْغَالِبِ

asadi allāhi al-ghālibi,

the conqueror of every conqueror,

غَالِبِ كُلِّ غَالِبٍ

ghālibi kulli ghālibin,

the desire of every needier,

وَمَطْلُوْبِ كُلِّ طَالِبٍ

wa matlūbi kulli tālibin,

the possessor of all pride and high rank,

صَاحِبِ الْمَفَاخِرِ وَالْمَنَاقِبِ

sāhibi al-mafākhiri wa al-manāqibi,

the leader of the east and west,

اِمَامِ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ

imāmi al-mashāriqi wa al-maghāribi,

our master and the master of the two worlds,

مَوْلَانَا وَمَوْلَى الْكَوْنَيْنِ

mawlānā wa mawlā al-kawnayni,

the leader, father of the two Hasan, the commander of the faithful, Ali son of Abi Talib, may the blessing of Allah be on him.

اَلْاِمَامِ اَبِيْ الْحَسَنَيْنِ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبِيْ طَالِبٍ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ

al-imāmi abī al-hasanayni amīri al-mu'minīna 'aliyyi bni abī tālibin salawātu allāhi 'alayh.

Blessing and peace be upon you, O' the commander of the faithful,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا الْحَسَنِ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā al-hasani,

O' Ali son of Abi Talib,

يَا اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā amīra al-mu'minīna,

O' the brother of the Messenger,

يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ اَبِيْ طَالِبٍ

yā 'aliyya bna abī tālibin,

O' the husband of the Batool lady,

يَا اَخَ الرَّسُوْلِ

yā akha ar-rasūli,

the father of the two grand sons,

يَا زَوْجَ الْبَتُوْلِ

yā zawja al-batūli,

the proof of Allah on His creation,

يَا اَبَا السِّبْطَيْنِ

yā abā as-sibtayni,

O' our chief and master, we concentrates, seeking intercession, and means from Allah through you,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

and we present our demand in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا يَا مَوْلَانَا

yā sayyidanā yā mawlānā,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

intercede for us before Allah.

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

O' Allah! Send blessing, peace and increase mercy on the splendid and beautiful princess,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the infallible and the oppressed one,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the noble and magnanimous one,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدَةِ الْجَلِيْلَةِ الْجَمِيْلَةِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidati al-jalīlati al-jamīlati,

the pleasant who has suffered a lot from the hand of the mischievous ones,

اَلْمَعْصُوْمَةِ الْمَظْلُوْمَةِ

al-ma'sūmati al-mazlūmati,

who has long grief in a short period of time,

اَلْكَرِيْمَةِ النَّبِيْلَةِ

al-karīmati an-nabīlati,

the pleasant and tolerant,

اَلْمَكْرُوْبَةِ الْعَلِيْلَةِ

al-makrūbati al-'alīlati,

the modest and perfect,

ذَاتِ الْاَحْزَانِ الطَّوِيْلَةِ فِي الْمُدَّةِ الْقَلِيْلَةِ

dhāti al-ahzāni at-tawīlati fī al-muddati al-qamīlati,

the one whose prestige was not known,

اَلرَّضِيَّةِ الْحَلِيْمَةِ

ar-radiyyati al-halīmati,

who is having hidden grave,

اَلْعَفِيْفَةِ السَّلِيْمَةِ

al-'afīfati as-salīmati,

who was buried secretly,

اَلْمَجْهُوْلَةِ قَدْرًا

al-majhūlati qadran,

who was openly usurped,

وَالْمَخْفِيَّةِ قَبْرًا

wa al-makhfiyyati qabran,

the mistress of the women,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنَةِ سِرًّا

al-madfūnati sirran,

the most beautiful among human being,

وَالْمَغْصُوْبَةِ جَهْرًا

wa al-maghṣūbati jahran,

the mother of the excellent and noble leaders,

سَيِّدَةِ النِّسَاءِ

sayyidati an-nisā'i,

daughter of the best among the Prophets,

اَلْاِنْسِيَّةِ الْحَوْرَاءِ

al-insiyyati al-hawrā'i,

the pure and purified one,

اُمِّ الْاَئِمَّةِ النُّقَبَاءِ النُّجَبَاءِ

ummi al-a'immatis-nuqabā'i an-nujabā'i,

the virgin and maiden one,

بِنْتِ خَيْرِ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ

binti khayri al-anbiyā'i,

Fatima the devout and bosom one, peace be on her.

اَلطَّاهِرَةِ الْمُطَهَّرَةِ

at-tāhirati al-mutahharati,

Blessing and peace be upon you and your descendants, O' Fatima the bosom one,

اَلْبَتُوْلِ الْعَذْرَاءِ

al-batūli al-'adhrā'i,

O' daughter of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah,

فَاطِمَةَ التَّقِيَّةِ الزَّهْرَاءِ عَلَيْهَا السَّلَامُ

fātimata at-taqiyyati az-zahrā'i 'alayhā as-salām.

O' the virgin one,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ وَعَلَى ذُرِّيَّتِكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ الزَّهْرَاءُ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayki wa 'alā dhurriyyatiki yā fātimata az-zahrā'u,

O' the delight of the eye of the Messenger,

يَا بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

yā binta muhammadin rasūli allāhi,

O' the flesh of the Prophet,

اَيَّتُهَا الْبَتُوْلُ

ayyatuhā al-batūlu,

O' the mother of the two grand sons,

يَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ الرَّسُوْلِ

yā qurrata 'ayni ar-rasūli,

O' the proof of Allah on His creations,

يَا بَضْعَةَ النَّبِيِّ

yā badh'ata an-nabiyyi,

O' our princess and mistress, we concentrate, seeking for intercession and means to Allah through you,

يَا اُمَّ السِّبْطَيْنِ

yā umma as-sibtayni,

and have presented our demands in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

يَا سَيِّدَتَنَا وَمَوْلَاتَنَا

yā sayyidatanā wa mawlātanā,

intercede for us before Allah.

اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكِ اِلَى اللهِ

innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā biki ilā allāhi,

O' Allah, send Your blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on master Al-Mujtaba,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāki bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the promised leader,

يَا وَجِيْهَةً عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhatan 'inda allāhi,

the grand son of the chosen one,

اِشْفَعِيْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa'ī lanā 'inda allāh.

son of the pleasant one,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الْمُجْتَبَى

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi al-mujtabā,

the banner of guidance,

وَالْاِمَامِ الْمُرْتَجَى

wa al-imāmi al-murtajā,

the exalted scholar,

سِبْطِ الْمُصْطَفَى

sibti al-mustafā,

the owner of impenetrable reckon and all virtues and exalted honours,

وَابْنِ الْمُرْتَضَى

wa ibni al-murtadā,

the intercessor son of the intercessor,

عَلَمِ الْهُدَى

'alami al-hudā,

who was assassinated with infusible poison,

اَلْعَالِمِ الرَّفِيْعِ

al-'ālimi ar-rafī'i,

who was buried in the land of Baqiy,

ذِي الْحَسَبِ الْمَنِيْعِ

dhī al-hasabi al-manīi,

who was acquainted with the obligatory and none obligatory,

وَالْفَضْلِ الْجَمِيْعِ

wa al-fadli al-jamīi,

the possessor of generosity and favour,

وَالشَّرَفِ الرَّفِيْعِ

wa ash-sharafi ar-rafī'i,

the detector of open and hidden difficulties, problems and tribulation,

اَلشَّفِيْعِ ابْنِ الشَّفِيْعِ

ash-shafī'i ibni ash-shafī'i,

whom people's tongue were weak in his praise,

اَلْمَقْتُوْلِ بِالسَّمِّ النَّقِيْعِ

al-maqtūli bi-as-sammi an-naqī'i,

the genuine and trustworthy leader,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِاَرْضِ الْبَقِيْعِ

al-madfūni bi-ardi al-baqī'i,

Al-Hasan the father of Muhammad (may Allah's blessing and peace be on him).

اَلْعَالِمِ بِالْفَرَائِضِ وَالسُّنَنِ

al-'ālimi bi-al-farā'iḍi wa as-sunani,

May Allah's blessing and peace be upon you, O' the father of Muhammad,

صَاحِبِ الْجُوْدِ وَالْمِنَنِ

sāhibi al-jūdi wa al-minani,

O' Al-Hasan son of Ali,

كَاشِفِ الضُّرِّ وَالْبَلْوَى وَالْمِحَنِ

kāshifi ad-durri wa al-balwā wa al-mihani,

O' the chosen one,

مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ

mā zahara minhā wa mā batan,

O' the son of Allah's Messenger,

اَلَّذِيْ عَجَزَ عَنْ عَدِّ مَدَائِحِهِ لِسَانُ اللُّسَنِ

alladhī 'ajaza 'an 'addi madā'ihi lisānu al-lusani,

O' the son of the commander of the faithful,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ الْمُؤْتَمَنِ

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi al-mu'tamani,

O' the son of Fatima Zahra,

اَبِيْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنِ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ)

abī muhammadin al-hasani (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayh).

O' Allah's proof on his creations,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā muhammadin,

O' the master of the youth of the Paradise,

يَا حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

yā hasana bna 'aliyyin,

O' our chief and master, we have concentrated, seeking for intercession and means to Allah through you,

اَيُّهَا الْمُجْتَبَى

ayyuhā al-mujtabā,

and we have presented our demands in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

yā bna rasūli allāhi,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

intercede for us before Allah.

يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ

yā bna fātimata az-zahrā'i,

O' Allah, send Your blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on the master of the ascetics,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

the leader of the worshippers and those that bow and prostrate,

يَا سَيِّدَ شَبَابِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ

yā sayyida shabābi ahli al-jannati,

the guardian of the king and the glorious one,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

who was assassinated by the unbelievers and the infidels,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the owner of tribulation and affliction,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

who was buried in the holy land of Karbala,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the grand son of the Messenger to men and Jinn,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الزَّاهِدِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi az-zāhidi,

the light of the two eyes of our master and the master of the two worlds,

وَالْاِمَامِ الْعَابِدِ

wa al-imāmi al-'ābidi,

the genuine leader, al-Husayn, the father of Abdullah (may the blessing and peace of Allah be upon him).

الرَّاكِعِ السَّاجِدِ

ar-rāki'i as-sājidi,

May blessing and peace be upon you, O' the father of Abdullah,

وَلِيِّ الْمَلِكِ الْمَاجِدِ

waliyyi al-maliki al-mājidi,

O' al-Husayn son of Ali,

وَقَتِيْلِ الْكَافِرِ الْجَاحِدِ

wa qatīli al-kāfiri al-jāhidi,

O' the martyred,

زَيْنِ الْمَنَابِرِ وَالْمَسَاجِدِ

zayni al-manābiri wa al-masājidi,

O' the son of Allah's Messenger,

صَاحِبِ الْمِحْنَةِ وَالْكَرْبِ وَالْبَلَاءِ

sāhibi al-mihnati wa al-karbi wa al-balā'i,

O' the son of the commander of the faithful,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِاَرْضِ كَرْبَلَاءَ

al-madfūni bi-ardi karbalā'a,

O' the son of Fatima Zahra,

سِبْطِ رَسُوْلِ الثَّقَلَيْنِ

sibti rasūli ath-thaqalayni,

O' the chief of the youth in the Paradise,

وَنُوْرِ الْعَيْنَيْنِ

wa nūri al-'aynayni,

O' Allah's proof on His creations,

مَوْلَانَا وَمَوْلَى الْكَوْنَيْنِ

mawlānā wa mawlā al-kawnayni,

O' our chief and master, we concentrated, seeking intercession and means to Allah through you,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ اَبِيْ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحُسَيْنِ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ)

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi abī 'abdi allāhi al-husayni (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayh).

and we have presented our demands in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā 'abdi allāhi,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

يَا حُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

yā husayna bna 'aliyyin,

intercede for us before Allah.

اَيُّهَا الشَّهِيْدُ يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ayyuhā ash-shahīdu yā bna rasūli allāhi,

O' Allah, send Your blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on the father of the Imams,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

the lamp of the nation,

يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ

yā bna fātimata az-zahrā'i,

the detector of sorrow,

يَا سَيِّدَ شَبَابِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ

yā sayyida shabābi ahli al-jannati,

the revival of the Prophetic traditions,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

who has established determination,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the possessor of exalted ranks,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

who is friendly to tribulations,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the possessor of lamentation,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

who was buried in land of Teebah,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى اَبِي الْاَئِمَّةِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā abī al-a'immatis,

who was free from every dishonour,

وَسِرَاجِ الْاُمَّةِ

wa sirāji al-ummati,

the best of the strugglers,

وَكَاشِفِ الْغُمَّةِ

wa kāshifi al-ghummati,

the most perfect among the thanks givers and those that praise Allah,

وَمُحْيِي السُّنَّةِ

wa muhyī as-sunnati,

the midday sun for the repentant,

وَسَنِيِّ الْهِمَّةِ

wa saniyyi al-himmati,

the night moon for the observers of night prayer,

وَرَفِيْعِ الرُّتْبَةِ

wa rafī'i ar-rutbati,

the genuine leader and the pretty of the worshippers,

وَاَنِيْسِ الْكُرْبَةِ

wa anīsi al-kurbati,

Ali son of al-Husayn, the father of Muhammad, (may Allah's blessing and peace be upon both of them).

وَصَاحِبِ النُّدْبَةِ

wa sāhibi an-nudbati,

May Allah's blessing and peace be upon you, O' the father of Muhammad,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِاَرْضِ طَيِّبَةَ

al-madfūni bi-ardi tayyibati,

O' Ali son of al-Husayn,

اَلْمُبَرَّءِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْنٍ

al-mubarrai min kulli shaynin,

O' the pretty of the worshippers,

وَاَفْضَلِ الْمُجَاهِدِيْنَ

wa afdali al-mujāhidīna,

O' he who prostrate much,

وَاَكْمَلِ الشَّاكِرِيْنَ وَالْحَامِدِيْنَ

wa akmali ash-shākirīna wa al-hāmidīna,

O' the son of the Prophet,

شَمْسِ نَهَارِ الْمُسْتَغْفِرِيْنَ

shamsi nahāri al-mustaghfirīna,

O' the son of the commander of the faithful,

وَقَمَرِ لَيْلَةِ الْمُتَهَجِّدِيْنَ

wa qamari laylati al-mutahajjidīna,

O' Allah's proof on His creation,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِيْنَ

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi zayni al-'ābidīna,

O' our master and chief, we have concentrated, seeking for intercession and means to Allah through you,

اَبِيْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِمَا)

abī muhammadin 'aliyyi bni al-husayni (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayhimā).

and we have presented our needs in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā muhammadin,

O' the prominent before Allah,

يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ

yā 'aliyya bna al-husayni,

intercede for us before Allah.

يَا زَيْنَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ

yā zayna al-'ābidīna,

O' Allah, send Your blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on the moon of the moons,

اَيُّهَا السَّجَّادُ يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ayyuhā as-sajjādu yā bna rasūli allāhi,

the light of the lights,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

the selected leader,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

the master of the good ones,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the pure and clean one,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the splendid moon,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the shinning stars,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the flowing sea,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى قَمَرِ الْاَقْمَارِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā qamari al-aqmāri,

the excellent pearls,

وَنُوْرِ الْاَنْوَارِ

wa nūri al-anwāri,

who was nicknamed as Baqir,

وَقَائِدِ الْاَخْيَارِ

wa qā'idi al-akhyāri,

the prominent master,

وَسَيِّدِ الْاَبْرَارِ

wa sayyidi al-abrāri,

the noble leader,

وَالطُّهْرِ الطَّاهِرِ

wa at-tuhri at-tāhiri,

who was buried close to his father and grandfather,

وَالْبَدْرِ الْبَاهِرِ

wa al-badri al-bāhiri,

whose school is filled up with the enemies and the well-wishers,

وَالنَّجْمِ الزَّاهِرِ

wa an-najmi az-zāhiri,

the genuine and continuous leader,

وَالْبَحْرِ الزَّاخِرِ

wa al-bahri az-zākhiri,

Muhammad son of Ali, the father of Ja'far, peace be on both of them.

وَالدُّرِّ الْفَاخِرِ

wa ad-durri al-fākhiri,

May Allah's blessing and peace be upon you, O' father of Ja'far,

اَلْمُلَقَّبِ بِالْبَاقِرِ

al-mulaqqabi bi-al-bāqiri,

O' Muhammad son of Ali,

اَلسَّيِّدِ الْوَجِيْهِ

as-sayyidi al-wajīhi,

O' al-Baqir,

اَلْاِمَامِ النَّبِيْهِ

al-imāmi an-nabīhi,

O' the son of Allah's Messenger,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ عِنْدَ جَدِّهِ وَاَبِيْهِ

al-madfūni 'inda jaddihi wa abīhi,

O' the son of the commander of the faithful,

اَلْحِبْرِ الْمَلِيِّ عِنْدَ الْعَدُوِّ وَالْوَلِيِّ

al-hibri al-maliyyi 'inda al-'aduwwi wa al-waliyyi,

O' Allah's proof on His creations,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ الْاَزَلِيِّ

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi al-azaliyyi,

O' our chief and master, we have concentrated, seeking for intercession and means to Allah through you,

اَبِيْ جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ

abī ja'farin muhammadi bni 'aliyyin 'alayhimā as-salām.

and we have presented our demands in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا جَعْفَرٍ يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā ja'farin yā muhammada bna 'aliyyin,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

اَيُّهَا الْبَاقِرُ يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ayyuhā al-bāqiru yā bna rasūli allāhi,

interceded for us before Allah.

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

O' Allah! Send Your blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on the master, al-Sadiq,

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

the trustworthy one,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the firm scholar,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the tolerant and the sympathetic one,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the guide to the right path,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

who quench his follower's thirsty with nectar of knowledge,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الصَّادِقِ الصِّدِّيْقِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi as-sādiqi as-siddīqi,

who lead his enemies to Hell fire,

اَلْعَالِمِ الْوَثِيْقِ

al-'ālimi al-wathiqi,

the possessor of an exalted honour and impenetrable lineage,

اَلْحَلِيْمِ الشَّفِيْقِ

al-halīmi ash-shafīqi,

he who obtained all virtues,

اَلْهَادِيْ اِلَى الطَّرِيْقِ

al-hādī ilā at-tarīqi,

the intercessor son of an intercessor,

اَلسَّاقِيْ شِيْعَتَهُ مِنَ الرَّحِيْقِ

as-sāqī shī'atahu min ar-rahīqi,

who was buried in the land of Baqiy,

وَمُبَلِّغِ اَعْدَائِهِ اِلَى الْحَرِيْقِ

wa muballighi a'dā'ihi ilā al-harīqi,

the trained and supported one,

صَاحِبِ الشَّرَفِ الرَّفِيْعِ

sāhibi ash-sharafi ar-rafī'i,

the praised leader, Ja'far son of Muhammad, the father of Abdullah (may Allah's blessing and peace be upon him).

وَالْحَسَبِ الْمَنِيْعِ

wa al-hasabi al-manī'i,

May Allah's blessing be upon you, O' the father of Abdullah,

وَالْفَضْلِ الْجَمِيْعِ

wa al-fadli al-jamī'i,

O' Ja'far son of Muhammad,

اَلشَّفِيْعِ ابْنِ الشَّفِيْعِ

ash-shafī'i ibni ash-shafī'i,

O' al-Sadiq,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِالْبَقِيْعِ

al-madfūni bi-al-baqī'i,

O' the Prophet's son,

اَلْمُهَذَّبِ الْمُؤَيَّدِ

al-muhadhdabi al-mu'ayyadi,

O' the son of the commander of the faithful

اَلْاِمَامِ الْمُمَجَّدِ اَبِيْ عَبْدِ اللهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ)

al-imāmi al-mumajjadi abī 'abdi allāhi ja'fari bni muhammadin (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayh).

O' Allah's proof on His creations,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā 'abdi allāhi,

O' our chief and master, we concentrated, seeking for intercession and means to Allah through you,

يَا جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ

yā ja'fara bna muhammadin,

and we presented our demands in this world and in the world Hereafter before you,

اَيُّهَا الصَّادِقُ يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

ayyuhā as-sādiqu yā bna rasūli allāhi,

O' the prominent one before Allah,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

intercede for us before Allah.

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

O' Allah! Send Your blessing, peace and increase Your mercy on the honourable master,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the tolerant leader,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

whose name is epithet,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the tolerant,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the suppressor of anger,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الْكَرِيْمِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi al-karīmi,

the leader of the armies,

وَالْاِمَامِ الْحَلِيْمِ

wa al-imāmi al-halīmi,

who was buried in the Quraysh grave Yard,

وَسَمِيِّ الْكَلِيْمِ

wa samiyyi al-kalīmi,

the possessor of luminous honour and clear praise,

اَلصَّابِرِ الْكَظِيْمِ

as-sābiri al-kazīmi,

and pure lineage,

قَائِدِ الْجَيْشِ

qā'idi al-jayshi,

the true leader, Musa son of Ja'far, the father of Ibrahim, (may blessing and peace of Allah be upon him).

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِمَقَابِرِ قُرَيْشٍ

al-madfūni bimaqābiri qurayshin,

May blessing and peace be upon you, O' the father of Ibrahim,

صَاحِبِ الشَّرَفِ الْاَنْوَرِ

sāhibi ash-sharafi al-anwari,

O' Musa son of Ja'far,

وَالْمَجْدِ الْاَظْهَرِ

wa al-majdi al-azhari,

O' Musa al-Kazim, O' righteous servant,

وَالْجَبِيْنِ الْاَطْهَرِ

wa al-jabīni al-athari,

O' son of the Messenger of Allah,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ اَبِيْ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ مُوْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ)

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi abī ibrāhīma mūsā bni ja'fari (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayh).

O' son of the Commander of the Faithful,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا اِبْرَاهِيْمَ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā ibrāhīma,

O' Proof of Allah over His creation,

يَا مُوْسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ

yā mūsā bna ja'fari,

O' our master and our lord, indeed we have turned to you, sought your intercession and sought nearness to Allah through you,

اَيُّهَا الْكَاظِمُ وَاَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ

ayyuhā al-kāzimu, wa ayyuhā al-'abdu as-sālihu,

and we have placed our needs before you in this world and the Hereafter,

يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

yā bna rasūli allāhi,

O' one who is held in high esteem before Allah,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

Intercede for us before Allah.

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

O' Allah, bless, salute, increase and bestow blessings upon the infallible master,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the oppressed Imam,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the poisoned martyr,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the grief-stricken stranger,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the slain and deprived one,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الْمَعْصُوْمِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi al-ma'sūmi,

the knower of the knowledge that is concealed,

وَالْاِمَامِ الْمَظْلُوْمِ

wa al-imāmi al-mazlūmi,

the full moon among the stars,

وَالشَّهِيْدِ الْمَسْمُوْمِ

wa ash-shahīdi al-masmūmi,

the sun of suns,

وَالْغَرِيْبِ الْمَغْمُوْمِ

wa al-gharībi al-maghmūmi,

the companion and comforter of souls,

وَالْقَتِيْلِ الْمَحْرُوْمِ

wa al-qatīli al-mahrūmi,

who is buried in the land of Tus,

عَالِمِ عِلْمِ الْمَكْتُوْمِ

'ālimi 'ilmi al-maktūmi,

the one who is pleasing and well-pleased,

بَدْرِ النُّجُوْمِ

badri an-nujūmi,

the one who is hoped for and chosen,

شَمْسِ الشُّمُوْسِ

shamsi ash-shumūsi,

the true Imam, Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him.

وَاَنِيْسِ النُّفُوْسِ

wa anīsi an-nufūsi,

May Allah's blessings and peace be upon you, O' Abu al-Hasan,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِاَرْضِ طُوْسِ

al-madfūni bi-ardi tūsi,

O' Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha,

اَلرَّضِيِّ الْمُرْتَضَى

ar-radiyyi al-murtadā,

O' son of the Messenger of Allah,

اَلْمُرْتَجَى الْمُجْتَبَى

al-murtajā al-mujtabā,

O' son of the Commander of the Faithful,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ اَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوْسَى الرِّضَا (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ)

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi abī al-hasani 'aliyyi bni mūsā ar-ridā (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayh).

O' Proof of Allah over His creation,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا الْحَسَنِ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā al-hasani,

O' our master and our lord, indeed we have turned to you, sought your intercession and sought nearness to Allah through you,

يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوْسَى الرِّضَا

yā 'aliyya bna mūsā ar-ridā,

and we have placed our needs before you in this world and the Hereafter,

يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

yā bna rasūli allāhi,

O' one who is held in high esteem before Allah,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

intercede for us before Allah.

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

O' Allah, bless, salute, increase and bestow blessings upon the just and learned master,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the one who acts and is perfected,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the virtuous and generous one,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the most generous and munificent one,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the one who knows the mysteries of the beginning and the return, and for every people there is a guide,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى السَّيِّدِ الْعَادِلِ الْعَالِمِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā as-sayyidi al-'ādili al-'ālimi,

the refuge of the lovers on the day when the caller calls,

اَلْعَامِلِ الْكَامِلِ

al-'āmili al-kāmili,

the one mentioned in guidance and direction,

اَلْفَاضِلِ الْبَاذِلِ

al-fādili al-bādhili,

who is buried in the land of Baghdad,

اَلْاَجْوَدِ الْجَوَادِ

al-ajwadi al-jawādi,

the Arab master,

اَلْعَارِفِ بِاَسْرَارِ الْمَبْدَءِ وَالْمَعَادِ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ

al-'ārifu bi-asrāri al-mabda'i wa al-ma'ādi wa likulli qawmin hādin,

the praised Imam,

مَنَاصِ الْمُحِبِّيْنَ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ

manāsi al-muhibbīna yawma yunādi al-munādi,

the Muhammadan light,

اَلْمَذْكُوْرِ فِي الْهِدَايَةِ وَالْاِرْشَادِ

al-madhkūri fī al-hidāyati wa al-irshādi,

known by the title al-Taqi,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنِ بِاَرْضِ بَغْدَادَ

al-madfūni bi-ardi baghdāda,

the true Imam, Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Ali, peace be upon him.

اَلسَّيِّدِ الْعَرَبِيِّ

as-sayyidi al-'arabiyyi,

May Allah's blessings and peace be upon you, O' Abu Ja'far,

وَالْاِمَامِ الْاَحْمَدِيِّ

wa al-imāmi al-ahmadiyyi,

O' Muhammad ibn Ali,

وَالنُّوْرِ الْمُحَمَّدِيِّ

wa an-nūri al-muhammadiyyi,

O' Taqi, O' the generous one,

اَلْمُلَقَّبِ بِالتَّقِيِّ

al-mulaqqabi bi-at-taqiyyi,

O' son of the Messenger of Allah,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ اَبِيْ جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi abī ja'farin muhammadi bni 'aliyyin 'alayhi as-salām.

O' son of the Commander of the Faithful,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَبَا جَعْفَرٍ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā abā ja'farin,

O' Proof of Allah over His creation,

يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

yā muhammada bna 'aliyyin,

O' our master and our lord, indeed we have turned to you, sought your intercession and sought nearness to Allah through you,

اَيُّهَا التَّقِيُّ الْجَوَادُ

ayyuhā at-taqiyyu al-jawādu,

and we have placed our needs before you in this world and the Hereafter,

يَا بْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

yā bna rasūli allāhi,

O' one who is held in high esteem before Allah,

يَا بْنَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bna amīri al-mu'minīna,

intercede for us before Allah.

يَا حُجَّةَ اللهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

yā hujjata allāhi 'alā khalqihi,

O' Allah, bless, salute, increase and bestow blessings upon the two noble and courageous Imams,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

the two masters and supports,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the two virtuous and perfected ones,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

the two generous and just ones,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāh.

the two learned and practicing ones,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى الْاِمَامَيْنِ الْهُمَامَيْنِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā al-imāmayni al-humāmayni,

the two most God-fearing and pure ones,

اَلسَّيِّدَيْنِ السَّنَدَيْنِ

as-sayyidayni as-sanadayni,

the two radiant lights,

اَلْفَاضِلَيْنِ الْكَامِلَيْنِ

al-fādilayni al-kāmilayni,

the two suns and moons,

اَلْبَاذِلَيْنِ الْعَادِلَيْنِ

al-bādhilayni al-'ādilayni,

the two most fortunate stars,

اَلْعَالِمَيْنِ الْعَامِلَيْنِ

al-'ālimayni al-'āmilayni,

the two inheritors of the two sacred sites,

اَلْاَوْرَعَيْنِ الْاَطْهَرَيْنِ

al-awra'ayni al-atharayni,

the two people of the two Sacred Precincts,

اَلنُّوْرَيْنِ النَّيِّرَيْنِ

an-nūrayni an-nayyirayni,

the two refuges of piety,

وَالشَّمْسَيْنِ الْقَمَرَيْنِ

wa ash-shamsayni al-qamarayni,

the two helpers of creation,

اَلْكَوْكَبَيْنِ الْاَسْعَدَيْنِ

al-kawkabayni al-as'adayni,

the two full moons of darkness,

وَارِثَيِ الْمَشْعَرَيْنِ

wārithayi al-mash'arayni,

the two lofty mountains of understanding,

وَاَهْلَيِ الْحَرَمَيْنِ

wa ahlayi al-haramayni,

the two banners of guidance,

كَهْفَيِ التُّقَى

kahfayi at-tuqā,

who are buried in Samarra,

غَوْثَيِ الْوَرَى

ghawthayi al-warā,

the two who remove afflictions and trials,

بَدْرَيِ الدُّجَى

badrayi ad-dujā,

the two possessors of generosity and favours,

طَوْدَيِ النُّهَى

tawdayi an-nuhā,

the two true Imams, Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad al-Naqi and Abu Muhammad al-Hasan, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon both of them.

عَلَمَيِ الْهُدَى

'alamayi al-hudā,

May Allah's blessings and peace be upon both of you, O' Abu al-Hasan and O' Abu Muhammad,

اَلْمَدْفُوْنَيْنِ بِسُرَّ مَنْ رَأَى

al-madfūnayni bisurra man ra'ā,

and O' Ali ibn Muhammad and O' Hasan ibn Ali,

كَاشِفَيِ الْبَلْوَى وَالْمِحَنِ

kāshifayi al-balwā wa al-mihani,

O' al-Naqi, the guide, and O' al-Zaki al-Askari,

صَاحِبَيِ الْجُوْدِ وَالْمِنَنِ

sāhibayi al-jūdi wa al-minani,

O' sons of the Messenger of Allah,

اَلْاِمَامَيْنِ بِالْحَقِّ اَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّقِيِّ وَاَبِيْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنِ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِمَا)

al-imāmayni bi-al-haqqi abī al-hasani 'aliyyi bni muhammadin an-naqiyyi wa abī muhammadin al-hasani (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayhimā).

O' sons of the Commander of the Faithful,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمَا يَا اَبَا الْحَسَنِ وَيَا اَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alaykumā yā abā al-hasani wa yā abā muhammadin,

O' two Proofs of Allah over all creation,

وَيَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَيَا حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ

wa yā 'aliyya bna muhammadin wa yā hasana bna 'aliyyin,

O' our two masters and lords, indeed we have turned to you both, sought your intercession and sought nearness to Allah through you both,

اَيُّهَا النَّقِيُّ الْهَادِيْ وَاَيُّهَا الزَّكِيُّ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ

ayyuhā an-naqiyyu al-hādī wa ayyuhā az-zakiyyu al-'askariyyu,

and we have placed our needs before you both in this world and the Hereafter,

يَا بْنَيْ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

yā bany rasūli allāhi,

O' two who are held in high esteem before Allah,

يَا بْنَيْ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

yā bany amīri al-mu'minīna,

intercede for us before Allah.

يَا حُجَّتَيِ اللهِ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ

yā hujjatayi allāhi 'alā al-khalqi ajma'īna,

O' Allah, bless, salute, increase and bestow blessings upon the possessor of the Prophetic mission,

يَا سَيِّدَيْنَا وَمَوْلَيَيْنَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكُمَا اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidaynā wa mawlayaynā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bikumā ilā allāhi,

the power of Haydar,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكُمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnākumā bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

the infallibility of Fatima,

يَا وَجِيْهَيْنِ عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhayni 'inda allāhi,

the forbearance of Hasan,

اِشْفَعَا لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ

ishfa'ā lanā 'inda allāh.

the courage of Husayn,

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَزِدْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى صَاحِبِ الدَّعْوَةِ النَّبَوِيَّةِ

Allāhumma salli wa sallim wa zid wa bārik 'alā sāhibi ad-da'wati an-nabawiyyati,

the worship of al-Sajjad,

وَالصَّوْلَةِ الْحَيْدَرِيَّةِ

wa as-sawlati al-haydariyyati,

the achievements of al-Baqir,

وَالْعِصْمَةِ الْفَاطِمِيَّةِ

wa al-'ismati al-fātimiyyati,

the traditions and legacies of al-Ja'far,

وَالْحِلْمِ الْحَسَنِيَّةِ

wa al-hilmi al-hasaniyyati,

the knowledge of al-Kazim,

وَالشُّجَاعَةِ الْحُسَيْنِيَّةِ

wa ash-shujā'ati al-husayniyyati,

the proofs of al-Ridha,

وَالْعِبَادَةِ السَّجَّادِيَّةِ

wa al-'ibādati as-sajjādiyyati,

the generosity of al-Taqi,

وَالْمَآثِرِ الْبَاقِرِيَّةِ

wa al-mā'ithiri al-bāqiriyyati,

the purity of al-Naqi,

وَالْاٰثَارِ الْجَعْفَرِيَّةِ

wa al-āthāri al-ja'fariyyati,

the awe of al-Askari,

وَالْعُلُوْمِ الْكَاظِمِيَّةِ

wa al-'ulūmi al-kāzimiyyati,

and the divine occultation,

وَالْحُجَجِ الرَّضَوِيَّةِ

wa al-hujaji ar-radawiyyati,

the one who stands with truth,

وَالْجُوْدِ التَّقَوِيَّةِ

wa al-jūdi at-taqawiyyati,

the one who calls to absolute truth,

وَالنَّقَاوَةِ النَّقَوِيَّةِ

wa an-naqāwati an-naqawiyyati,

the Word of Allah, the security of Allah and the Proof of Allah,

وَالْهَيْبَةِ الْعَسْكَرِيَّةِ

wa al-haybati al-'askariyyati,

the one who prevails by the command of Allah,

وَالْغَيْبَةِ الْاِلٰهِيَّةِ

wa al-ghaybati al-ilāhiyyati,

the defender of the sanctity of Allah,

اَلْقَائِمِ بِالْحَقِّ

al-qā'imi bi-al-haqqi,

the Imam of the hidden and the manifest,

وَالدَّاعِيْ اِلَى الصِّدْقِ الْمُطْلَقِ

wa ad-dā'ī ilā as-sidqi al-mutlaqi,

the remover of anguish and trials,

كَلِمَةِ اللهِ وَاَمَانِ اللهِ وَحُجَّةِ اللهِ

kalimati allāhi wa amāni allāhi wa hujjati allāhi,

the possessor of generosity and favours,

اَلْغَالِبِ بِاَمْرِ اللهِ

al-ghālibi bi-amri allāhi,

the true Imam, Abu al-Qasim Muhammad ibn al-Hasan,

وَالذَّابِّ عَنْ حَرَمِ اللهِ

wa adh-dhābbi 'an harami allāhi,

the possessor of the age and time,

اِمَامِ السِّرِّ وَالْعَلَنِ

imāmi as-sirri wa al-'alani,

the vicegerent of the Most Merciful,

دَافِعِ الْكَرْبِ وَالْمِحَنِ

dāfi'i al-karbi wa al-mihani,

and the Imam of mankind and the jinn, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him.

صَاحِبِ الْجُوْدِ وَالْمِنَنِ

sāhibi al-jūdi wa al-minani,

May Allah's blessings and peace be upon you, O' successor of Hasan,

اَلْاِمَامِ بِالْحَقِّ اَبِي الْقَاسِمِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ

al-imāmi bi-al-haqqi abī al-qāsimi muhammadi bni al-hasani,

O' righteous successor,

صَاحِبِ الْعَصْرِ وَالزَّمَانِ

sāhibi al-'asri wa az-zamāni,

O' Imam of our time,

وَخَلِيْفَةِ الرَّحْمَانِ

wa khalīfati ar-rahmāni,

O' the one who shall rise, the awaited al-Mahdi,

وَاِمَامِ الْاِنْسِ وَالْجَانِّ (صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ)

wa imāmi al-insi wa al-jānni (salawātu allāhi wa salāmuhu 'alayh).

O' our master and our lord, indeed we have turned to you, sought your intercession and sought nearness to Allah through you,

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ الْحَسَنِ

As-salātu wa as-salāmu 'alayka yā wasiyya al-hasani,

and we have placed our needs before you in this world and the Hereafter,

وَالْخَلَفَ الصَّالِحَ

wa al-khalafa as-sāliha,

O' one who is held in high esteem before Allah,

يَا اِمَامَ زَمَانِنَا

yā imāma zamāninā,

intercede for us before Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.

اَلْقَائِمَ الْمُنْتَظَرَ الْمَهْدِيَّ

al-qā'ima al-muntazara al-mahdiyya,

O' my masters and my lords,

يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا اِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنَا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنَا وَتَوَسَّلْنَا بِكَ اِلَى اللهِ

yā sayyidanā wa mawlānā innā tawajjaḥnā wa istashfa'nā wa tawassalnā bika ilā allāhi,

indeed I have turned to you,

وَقَدَّمْنَاكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

wa qaddamnāka bayna yaday hājātinā fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirati,

you are my Imams and my provision for the day of my poverty, need and dependence upon Allah,

يَا وَجِيْهًا عِنْدَ اللهِ

yā wajīhan 'inda allāhi,

and I have sought nearness to Allah through you,

اِشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ اللهِ عَزَّوَجَلَّ

ishfa' lanā 'inda allāhi 'azza wa jall.

and through my love for you and my nearness to you, I hope for salvation from Allah,

يَا سَادَتِيْ وَمَوَالِيَّ

so let you be my hope before Allah, the Exalted,

اِنِّيْ تَوَجَّهْتُ بِكُمْ

O' my masters, O' friends of Allah, may Allah's blessings be upon you all.

اَنْتُمْ اَئِمَّتِيْ وَعُدَّتِيْ لِيَوْمِ فَقْرِيْ وَفَاقَتِيْ وَحَاجَتِيْ اِلَى اللهِ

O' Allah, indeed these are our Imams, our masters, our leaders, our elders and our intercessors,

وَتَوَسَّلْتُ بِكُمْ اِلَى اللهِ

through them I pledge allegiance, and from their enemies I dissociate myself in this world and the Hereafter.

وَبِحُبِّكُمْ وَبِقُرْبِكُمْ اَرْجُوْ النَّجَاةَ مِنَ اللهِ

O' Allah, befriend whoever befriends them,

فَكُوْنُوْا عِنْدَ اللهِ تَعَالَى رَجَائِيْ

and oppose whoever opposes them,

يَا سَادَاتِيْ يَا اَوْلِيَاءَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ

help whoever helps them,

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ هٰؤُلَاءِ اَئِمَّتُنَا وَسَادَتُنَا وَقَادَتُنَا وَكُبَرَاؤُنَا وَشُفَعَاؤُنَا

and abandon whoever abandons them,

بِهِمْ اَتَوَلَّى وَمِنْ اَعْدَائِهِمْ اَتَبَرَّءُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

and curse those who oppress them,

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُمْ

and hasten their relief,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُمْ

and destroy their enemies from among the jinn and mankind, from the first to the last,

وَانْصُرْ مَنْ نَصَرَهُمْ

Amen, O' Lord of the worlds.

وَاخْذُلْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ

O' Allah, grant us their visitation in this world,

وَالْعَنْ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُمْ

and their intercession in the Hereafter,

وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ

and gather us with them, among their group and beneath their banner,

وَاَهْلِكْ عَدُوَّهُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ مِنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْاٰخِرِيْنَ

and never separate us from them, even for the blink of an eye, in this world or the Hereafter,

اٰمِيْنَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

by Your mercy, O' Most Merciful of the merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا زِيَارَتَهُمْ

وَفِي الْاٰخِرَةِ شَفَاعَتَهُمْ

وَاحْشُرْنَا مَعَهُمْ وَفِيْ زُمْرَتِهِمْ وَتَحْتَ لِوَائِهِمْ

وَلَا تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ اَبَدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
