## Origin

The night prayer (Salat al-Layl) as taught by the Imams (a), with its supplications from al-Kafi and Misbah al-Mutahajjid; arranged in Mafatih al-Jinan.

## Preface

Salatul-Layl consists up of 11 (eleven) Rak’ats

The first 8 (eight) Rak’ats are prayed as normal (like morning prayer) in pairs of two Rak’ats each with the niyyah of Nawafilatul-Layl

The next 2 (two) Rak’ats are prayed (like morning prayer) with the Niyyah of 'Salatul Shif’a

The remaining 1 (one) Rak’at is prayed (as below) with the Niyyah of 'Salatul Witr' as follows..

After Niyyah and say Takbiratul Ihram Recite the following surah:-

\- Surah Al-Hamd - Once

\- Surah Ikhlas (Qul Huwallahu Ahad) - three times

\- Surah Qul-Audhubi Rabbil Falaq - once

\- Surah Qul-Audhubi Rabbin Naas - once

Say Takbir and raise hands for Qunoot and You may recite any Dua or Rabbana or the following:

## Text

Each line gives the Arabic, then the transliteration in italics, then the English.

1. لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ\
   *Laa ilaaha illallaahul Halimul Karim*\
   There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Forbearing and Generous

2. لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ\
   *Laa ilaaha illallaahul ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim*\
   There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Most High and Great

3. سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ\
   *Subhaanallaahi Rabbis Samaawaatis Sab'*\
   Glory be to Allah, Who is the Sustainer of the seven heavens and of the seven earth

4. وَ رَبِّ الاَرْضِيْنَ السَّبْعِ\
   *wa Rabbil ‘Arzinas Sab'*\
   And Who is the Sustainer of all the things

5. وَ مَا فِيْهِنَّ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ وَ\
   *wa maa fihinna wa maa baynahunna*\
   in them, and between them,

6. رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ\
   *wa Rabbul 'Arshil ‘Azim*\
   And Who is the Lord of the great ‘Arsh (Divine Center of Authority & Power)

7. وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ\
   *Wal Hamdul lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalamin*\
   And all praise for Allah, the Sustainer of the worlds.

*Then, pray for forgiveness of forty \[40\] people who are either dead or living in the following manner:*

8. ..اَللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ل\
   *Allaahummagh Firli… (Name 40 people)*\
   O Allah, forgive (Name 40 people)…

*Repeat 70 times*

9. اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ رَبِّي وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ\
   *Astaghfirullah Rabbi wa Atuubu Ilayh (70 times)*\
   I seek forgiveness of Allah my Lord and I turn to Him (70 times)

*Repeat 7 times*

10. هذَا مَقَامُ الْعَآئِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ\
   *Haadhaa Maqaamul 'Aaidhi Bika Minannaar (7 times)*\
   This is the position of one who seeks refuge in You from the fire \[of Hell\](7 times)

*Repeat 300 times*

11. اَلْعَفْوَ\
   *Al-'Afwa (300 times)*\
   (I ask for) forgiveness (300 times)

*Repeat once then Complete then the Rukuh, Sujood and end the prayer with Salaam*

12. رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ تُبْ عَلَيَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ\
   *rabbighfirli warhamni wa tub alayya ,innaka antat-tawwabur-rahim (once) - End salat*\
   Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me, and turn to me, Surely You are the Oft-returning, the Merciful (once) - End Salat

*Post Salat - Recite Tasbih of Syeda Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her); 34 times - Allahu Akbar, 33 times - Al-Hamdu Lillah, 33 times - Subhanallah - Followed by Sajdah of Shukr. (reciting 5 times as below)*

13. سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ\
   *Subbohon, Qoddoson, Rabbul Mala’ekati Wal-Rooh (5 times)*\
   All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit. (5 times)

*Next, recite Ayatul Kursi. Finally, for the second time, perform Sajdah of Shukr reciting 5 times*

14. سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ\
   *Subbohon, Qoddoson, Rabbul Mala’ekati Wal-Rooh (5 times)*\
   All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit. (5 times)

15. اَللّهُمَّ لَا تُؤْمِنِّي مَكْرَكَ وَلَا تُنْسِنِي ذِكْرَكَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ\
   *Allahumma la tuminni makrak, wa la tunsani dhikrak, wa la taj'alni minal ghafileen.*

16. أَقُومُ إنْ شَاءَ اللهُ سَاعَةَ كذا وكذا\
   *Aqumu in sha Allah sa'ata kadha wa kadha.*

17. الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحي لِأَحْمَدَهُ وَأَعْبُدَهُ\
   *Alhamdu lillahil ladhi radda alayya roohee li-ahmadahu wa a'budah.*

18. سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ\
   *Subboohun Quddoosun Rabbul mala'ikati war-rooh*

19. سَبَقَتْ رَحْمَتُكَ غَضَبَكَ\
   *Sabaqat rahmatuka ghadabak*

20. لاَ إِلَه إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سًبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ عَملْتُ سُوءاً\
   *La ilaha illa anta subhanaka wa bihamdika 'amiltu soo'an*

21. وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي إِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ.\
   *Wa zalamtu nafsi faghfir li innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunooba illa ant*

22. اَللّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُوَارِي مِنْكَ لَيْلٌ دَاجٍ\
   *Allahumma innahu la yuwari minka laylun daj*

23. وَلاَ سَمَاءٌ ذَاتُ أَبْرَاجٍ\
   *Wa la sama'un dhatu abraj*

24. وَلاَ أَرْضٌ ذَاتُ مِهَادٍ\
   *Wa la ardun dhatu mihad*

25. وَلاَ ظَلَمَاتٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ\
   *Wa la zulumatun ba'duha fawqa ba'd*

26. وَلاَ بَحْرٌ لُجّيٌّ\
   *Wa la bahrun lujjiyy*

27. تُدْلِجُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ الْمُدْلِجِ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ\
   *Tudliju bayna yadayil mudliji min khalqik*

28. تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ\
   *Ta'lamu kha'inatal a'yuni wa ma tukhfis-sudoor*

29. اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

30. اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّي اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ آلِهِ\
   *Allahumma inni atawajjahu ilayka bi-nabiyyika nabiyyir-rahmati wa alih*\
   O Allah I turn to You through Your Prophet the Prophet of mercy and (through) his family and I place them in front of my needs

31. وَ اُقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوَ ائِجِي\
   *Wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday hawa'iji*\
   so make me through them,

32. فَاجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ وَجِيْهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الآخِرَةِ\
   *Faj'alni bihim wajihan fid-dunya wal-akhirah*\
   respected, in the world and in the hereafter and from the near ones

33. وَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ\
   *Wa minal-muqarrabeen*\
   O Allah have mercy on me through them

34. اَللّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي بِهِمْ وَ لاَ تُعَذِّبْنِي بِهِمْ\
   *Allahummar-hamni bihim wa la tu'adh-dhibni bihim*\
   and do not punish me through them

35. وَ اهْدِنِي بِهِمْ وَ لاَ تُضِلَّنِي بِهِمْ\
   *Wahdini bihim wa la tudillani bihim*\
   and guide me through them

36. وَ ارْزُقْنِي بِهِمْ وَ لاَ تَحْرِمْنِي بِهِمْ\
   *Warzuqni bihim wa la tahrimni bihim*\
   and do not lead me astray through them

37. وَ اقْضِ لِي حَوَائِجَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الآَخِرَةِ\
   *Waqdi li hawa'ijad-dunya wal-akhirah*\
   and grant me sustenance through them

38. اِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ\
   *Innaka ala kulli shay'in qadeer*\
   and do not deny me through them

39. وَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ\
   *Wa bikulli shay'in aleem*\
   and fulfill my needs of the world & the hereafter

40. اِﻟﻬِﻲ ﻏَﺎرَتْ نُجُومُ ﺳَﻤَﺎءِكَ وَ ﻧَﺎمَتْ ﻋُﻴُﻮْنُ اَﻧَﺎﻣِﻚَ وَ هَدَاَتْ اَصْوَاتُ ﻋِﺒَﺎدِكَ وَ اَﻧْﻌَﺎﻣِﻚَ\
   *ilaahi ghaarat nujoomu samaaika wa naamat ‘uyoonu anaamika wa hada-at aswaatuibaaduka wa an’aamika*\
   My God, the stars of Your sky have sunk and the eyes of Your people are sleeping and the voices of Your servants and Your animals have become silent

41. وَ غَلَّقَتِ اﻟْﻤُﻠُﻮْكُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬَﺎ اَﺑْﻮَاﺑَﻬَﺎ وَ ﻃَﺎفَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬَﺎ حُرَّاسُهَا\
   *wa ghallaqatil mulooku ‘alayha abwaabaha wa taafa ‘alayha hurraa-suhaa*\
   and the kings have locked their doors and its guards are moving around it

42. وَ اﺣْﺘَﺠَﺒُﻮا عَمَّنْ ﻳَﺴْﺌَﻠُﻬُﻢْ ﺣَﺎﺟَﺔً اَوْ ﻳَﻨْﺘَﺠِﻊُ ﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ ﻓَﺎﺋِﺪَةً\
   *wah-tajaboo ‘amman yasaluhum haajatan aw yantaji’u minhum faa-ida*\
   and they are covered from he who wishes to ask them for a need or to get a benefit from them

43. وَ اَﻧْﺖَ اِﻟﻬِﻲ حَيٌّ قَيُّوْمٌ ﻻَ ﺗَﺎْﺧُﺬُكَ ﺳِﻨَﺔٌ وَ ﻻ ﻧَﻮْمٌ وَ ﻻَ ﻳَﺸْﻐَﻠُﻚَ ﺷَﻴْﺊٌ ﻋَﻦْ ﺷَﻴْﺊٍ\
   *wa anta ilaahi hayyun qayyoomun laa ta-khudhuka sinatun wa laa nawmun wa la yashghaluka shayun ‘an shayin*\
   but You my God, are Ever Living, Subsistent, slumber or sleep does not overtake you (2:255) and one thing does not occupy You from another

44. اَﺑْﻮَابُ ﺳَﻤَﺎﺋِﻚَ ﻟِﻤَﻦْ دَﻋَﺎكَ مُفَتَّحَاتٌ وَ ﺧَﺰَاﺋِﻨُﻚَ ﻏَﻴْﺮُ مُغَلَّقَاتٍ\
   *abwaabu samaaika liman da’aaka mufattahaatun wa khazaainuka ghairu mughallaqaatin*\
   the doors of Your sky are open for he who asks You and Your treasures are never locked

45. وَ اَﺑْﻮَابُ رَﺣْﻤَﺘِﻚَ ﻏَﻴْﺮُ ﻣَﺤْﺠُﻮْﺑَﺎتٍ وَ ﻓَﻮَاﺋِﺪُكَ ﻟِﻤَﻦْ ﺳَﺄَﻟَﻚَ ﻏَﻴْﺮُ ﻣَﺤْﻈُﻮْرَاتٍ ﺑَﻞْ هِيَ ﻣَﺒْﺬُوْﻻَتٌ\
   *wa abwaabu rahmatika ghairu mahjoobaatin wa fawaaiduka liman sa-a-laka ghairu mahdhooraatin, bal he-ya mabdhoolatun*\
   and the doors of Your mercy are never covered and Your benefits are never forbidden for he who asks You rather they are given generously.

46. اَﻧْﺖَ اِﻟﻬِﻲ اَﻟْﻜَﺮِﻳْﻢُ الَّذِي ﻻَ تَرُدُّ ﺳَﺎﺋِﻼً ﻣِﻦَ اﻟْﻤُﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴْﻦَ ﺳَﺄَﻟَﻚَ\
   *anta ilaahee al-karremul-ladhee laa taruddu saailan min-al momineena sa-a-lak*\
   You are my God, the Generous who does not turn away a beseecher who asks from You

47. وَ ﻻَ ﺗَﺤْﺘَﺠِﺐُ ﻋَﻦْ اَﺣَﺪٍ ﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ اَرَادَكَ. ﻻَ وَ عِزَّتِكَ وَ ﺟَﻼَﻟِﻚَ\
   *wa laa tahtajibu ‘an ahadin minhum araadak, laa wa ‘izzatika wa jalaalika*\
   and You do not conceal Yourself from anyone of the believers who intends You. No, by Your Honor and Your Majesty

48. وَ ﻻَ ﺗُﺨْﺘَﺰَلُ ﺣَﻮَاﺋِﺠَﻬُﻢْ دُوْﻧَﻚَ وَ ﻻَ ﻳَﻘْﻀِﻴْﻬَﺎ اَﺣَﺪٌ ﻏَﻴْﺮُكَ\
   *wa laa tukhtazaloo hawaaijahum doonaka wa laa yaqdheeha ahadun ghairuk*\
   no one removes their needs other than You and no one fulfills their needs apart from You.

49. اللَّهُمَّ وَ ﻗَﺪْ ﺗَﺮَاﻧِﻲ وَ وُﻗُﻮْﻓِﻲ وَ ذُلَّ ﻣَﻘَﺎﻣِﻲ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ ﻳَﺪَﻳْﻚَ\
   *allahumma wa qad taraane wa wuqoofu wa dhulla maqaamee bayna yadayka*\
   O Allah You see me, and my standing (before You) and my humble position in front of You

50. وَ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻢُ ﺳَﺮِﻳْﺮَﺗِﻲ وَ تَطَّلِعُ ﻋَﻠﻰ ﻣَﺎ ﻓِﻲ ﻗَﻠْﺒِﻲ وَ ﻣَﺎ ﻳَﺼْﻠِﺢُ ﺑِﻪِ اَﻣْﺮُ آﺧِﺮَﺗِﻲ وَ دُﻧْﻴَﺎيَ\
   *wa ta’lamu sareeratee wa tat=tali’u ‘alaa maa fee qalbee wa maa yaslihu bihi amru aakhiratee wa dunyaaya*\
   and You know my secrets and are aware of what is in my heart and of what will improve my affairs of the Hereafter and the world.

51. اللَّهُمَّ اِنَّ ذِكْرَ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ وَ اَهْوَالِ الْمُطَّلِعِ وَاﻟْﻮُﻗُﻮْفَ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ يَدَيْكَ\
   *allahumma inna dhikral mawti wa ahwaalil muttali’i wal wuqoofa bayna yadayka*\
   O Allah, the remembrance of death and the frightening conditions of the observer and standing before You

52. نَغَّصَنِي ﻣَﻄْﻌَﻤِﻲ وَﻣَﺸْﺮَﺑِﻲ وَ اَغَصَّنِي ﺑِﺮِﻳْﻘِﻲ اَﻗْﻠَﻘَﻨِﻲ ﻋَﻦْ وِﺳَﺎدِي وَ ﻣَﻨَﻌَﻨِﻲ رُﻗَﺎدِي\
   *nagh-ghasanee mat’amee wa mashrabee wa aghassanee bee-reeqee aqlaqanee ‘an wisaadee wa mana’anee ruqaadee*\
   makes me stay away from my food and drink and makes me choke, keeps me away from my pillow and prevents me from sleeping.

53. كَيْفَ ﻳَﻨَﺎمُ ﻣَﻦْ ﻳَﺨَﺎفُ ﻣَﻠَﻚَ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ ﻓِﻲ ﻃَﻮَارِقِ اللَّيْلِ وَ ﻃَﻮَارِقِ النَّهَارِ\
   *kayfa yanaamu man yakhaafu malakal mawtu fee tawaariqil-layli wa tawaariqin-nahaari*\
   How can one sleep who fears the angel of death? in the calamities of the night and the calamities of the day

54. ﺑَﻞْ كَيْفَ ﻳَﻨَﺎمُ اﻟْﻌَﺎﻗِﻞُ وَ ﻣَﻠَﻚُ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ ﻻَ ﻳَﻨَﺎمُ ﻻَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ ﻻَ بِالنَّهَارِ\
   *bal kayfa yanaamul ‘aaqilu wa malakul mawti laa yanamu laa bil-layli wa laa binnahaari*\
   rather how can an intelligent person sleep while the angel of death does not sleep neither at night nor in the day

55. وَ ﻳَﻄْﻠُﺐُ رُوْﺣَﻪُ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺒَﻴَﺎتِ وَ ﻓِﻲ آﻧَﺎءِ السَّاعَاتِ\
   *wa yatlubu ruhahu bil bayaati wa fee aaanaais-sa’aati*\
   and seeks his soul in the state of sleep and in the middle of the hours

56. اَﺳْﺄَﻟُﻚَ الرَّوحَ وَ الرَّاحةَ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ وَ اﻟْﻌَﻔْﻮَ عَنِّي ﺣِﻴْﻦَ اَﻟْﻘَﺎك\
   *asalukar-rawha war-raahata ‘indal mawti wal ‘afwa ‘annee heena alqaak*\
   I beseech You to give me ease and comfort at the time of death and forgiveness when I meet You

57. اِلٰهِيْ كَمْ مِنْ مُوْبِقَةٍ حَلُمْتَ عَنْ مُقَابَلَتِهَا بِنِقْمَتِكَ\
   *Ilahi kam min moobiqatin halumta an muqabalatiha bi-niqmatik*\
   My God, how many destructive sins have occurred where You showed forbearance instead of meeting them with Your punishment,

58. وَكَمْ مِنْ جَرِيْرَةٍ تَكَرَّمْتَ عَنْ كَشْفِهَا بِكَرَمِكَ\
   *Wa kam min jareeratin takarramta an kashfiha bi-karamik*\
   And how many crimes were committed which You generously concealed through Your noble grace.

59. اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ طَالَ فِيْ عِصْيَانِكَ عُمْرِيْ\
   *Ilahi in taala fee isyanika umree*\
   My God, even if my lifespan was long in Your disobedience,

60. وَ عَظُمَ فِيْ الصُّحُفِ ذَنْبِيْ\
   *Wa azuma fis-sohufi dhanbee*\
   And my sins grew vast within the record of deeds,

61. فَمَا اَنَا مُؤَمِّلٌ غَيْرَ غُفْرَانِكَ\
   *Fama ana mu'ammilun ghayra ghufranik*\
   I harbor no hope for anything other than Your forgiveness,

62. وَ لَا اَنَا بِرَاجٍ غَيْرَ رِضْوَانِكَ\
   *Wa la ana bi-rajin ghayra ridwanik*\
   Nor do I wish for anything other than Your good pleasure.

63. اِلٰهِيْ اُفَكِّرُ فِيْ عَفْوِكَ فَتَهُوْنُ عَلَيَّ خَطِيْئَتِيْ\
   *Ilahi ufakkiru fee afwika fatahoolu alayya khatee'atee*\
   My God, when I reflect upon Your pardon, my sins seem small to me,

64. ثُمَّ اَذْكُرُ الْعَظِيْمَ مِنْ اَخْذِكَ فَتَعْظُمُ عَلَيَّ بَلِيَّتِيْ\
   *Thumma adhkurul azeema min akhdhika fata'zumu alayya baliyyatee*\
   Yet when I recall the severity of Your retribution, my affliction appears immense.

65. اٰهٍ اِنْ اَنَا قَرَاْتُ فِيْ الصُّحُفِ سَيِّئَةً اَنَا نَاسِيْهَا وَ اَنْتَ مُحْصِيْهَا\
   *Ahin in ana qara'tu fis-sohufi sayyi'atan ana nasiyaha wa anta muhseeyaha*\
   Ah, what grief if I read a sin in the scrolls that I have forgotten while You have recorded it,

66. فَتَقُوْلُ: خُذُوْهُ\
   *Fataqoolu: Khudhooh*\
   And You command: "Seize him!"

67. فَيَا لَهٗ مِنْ مَأْخُوْذٍ لَا تُنْجِيْهِ عَشِيْرَتُهٗ\
   *Fa ya lahoo min ma'khoodhin la tunjeehi asheeratuh*\
   O how helpless is that captive whom his own kin cannot rescue,

68. وَ لَا تَنْفَعُهٗ قَبِيْلَتُهٗ\
   *Wa la tanfa'uhu qabeelatuh*\
   Nor can his tribe benefit him,

69. يَرْحَمُهُ الْمَلَأُ اِذَا اُذِنَ فِيْهِ بِالنِّدَاءِ\
   *Yarhamuhul mala'u idha udhina feehi bin-nida'*\
   Pitied by the gathering when the call for his judgment is announced.

70. اٰهٍ مِنْ نَارٍ تُنْضِجُ الْاَكْبَادَ وَ الْكُلٰى\
   *Ahin min narin tundijul akbada wal-kula*\
   Ah, what grief from a fire that consumes the livers and the kidneys,

71. اٰهٍ مِنْ نَارٍ نَزَّاعَةٍ لِلشَّوٰى\
   *Ahin min narin nazza'atin lish-shawa*\
   Ah, what grief from a fire that strips away the scalp and flesh,

72. اٰهٍ مِنْ غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ لَهَبَاتٍ لَظٰى\
   *Ahin min ghamratin min lahabatin laza*\
   Ah, what grief from being submerged beneath the blazing flames of hellfire.

73. أَللَّهُمَّ إِنّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَلَمْ يُسْأَلْ مِثْلُكَ\
   *Allahumma innee as'aluka wa lam yus'al mithluk*\
   O Allah, I ask of You, and none like You has ever been asked,

74. أَنْتَ مَوْضِعُ مَسْأَلَةِ السَّائِلينَ\
   *Anta mawdi'u mas'alatis-sa'ileen*\
   You are the ultimate destination of every requester's plea,

75. وَمُنْتَهى رَغْبَةِ الرَّاغِبينَ\
   *Wa muntaha raghbatir-raghibeen*\
   And the utmost desire of those who seek,

76. أَدْعُوكَ وَلَمْ يُدْعَ مِثْلُكَ\
   *Ad'ooka wa lam yud'a mithluk*\
   I supplicate to You, and none like You has ever been supplicated to,

77. وَأَرْغَبُ إِلَيْكَ وَلَمْ يُرْغَبْ إِلى مِثْلِكَ\
   *Wa arghabu ilayka wa lam yurghab ila mithlik*\
   And I turn with longing toward You, while none like You has been longed for,

78. أَنْتَ مُجيبُ دَعْوَةِ الْمُضْطَرّينَ\
   *Anta mujeebu da'watil-mudtarreen*\
   You are the Responder to the call of the distressed,

79. وَأَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمينَ\
   *Wa arhamur-rahimeen*\
   And the Most Merciful of all who show mercy.

80. أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَفْضَلِ الْمَسائِلِ وَأَنْجَحِها وَأَعْظَمِها\
   *As'aluka bi-afdalil-masa'ili wa anjahiha wa a'zamiha*\
   I ask You by the finest, most successful, and greatest of petitions,

81. يا اَللَّهُ يا رَحْمانُ يا رَحيمُ\
   *Ya Allahu ya Rahmanu ya Raheem*\
   O Allah, O Most Compassionate, O Most Merciful,

82. وَبِأَسْمائِكَ الْحُسْنى\
   *Wa bi-asma'ikal-husna*\
   And by Your most Beautiful Names,

83. وَأَمْثالِكَ الْعُلْيا\
   *Wa amthalikal-'ulya*\
   And Your most exalted attributes,

84. وَنِعَمِكَ الَّتي لاتُحْصى\
   *Wa ni'amikal-latee la tuhsa*\
   And Your countless bounties,

85. وَبِأَكْرَمِ أَسْمائِكَ عَلَيْكَ وَأَحَبِّها إِلَيْكَ\
   *Wa bi-akrami asma'ika 'alayka wa ahabbiha ilayk*\
   And by the most noble of Your Names to You, and the most beloved to You,

86. وَأَقْرَبِها مِنْكَ وَسيلَةً\
   *Wa aqrabiha minka waseelah*\
   And the closest of them as a means of approach to You,

87. وَأَشْرَفِها عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلَةً\
   *Wa ashrafiha 'indaka manzilah*\
   And the most honorable in station before You,

88. وَأَجْزَلِها لَدَيْكَ ثَواباً\
   *Wa ajzaliha ladayka thawaba*\
   And the most abundant in reward with You,

89. وَأَسْرَعِها فِي الْاُمُورِ إِجابَةً\
   *Wa asra'iha fil-umoori ijabah*\
   And the swiftest of them in answering affairs,

90. وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنُونِ الْأَكْبَرِ الْأَعَزِّ الْأَجَلِّ الْأَعْظَمِ الْأَكْرَمِ\
   *Wa bismikal-maknoonil-akbaril-a'azzil-ajallil-a'zamil-akram*\
   And by Your hidden, greatest, most mighty, most majestic, supreme, and most generous Name,

91. اَلَّذي تُحِبُّهُ وَتَهْواهُ\
   *Alladhee tuhibbuhu wa tahwah*\
   Which You love and cherish,

92. وَتَرْضى بِهِ عَمَّنْ دَعاكَ\
   *Wa tarda bihee 'amman da'ak*\
   And with which You are pleased when anyone calls upon You,

93. فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ دُعاءَهُ\
   *Fastajabta lahoo du'a'ah*\
   So that You grant their supplication,

94. وَحَقٌّ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ لاتَحْرِمَ سائِلَكَ وَلاتَرُدَّهُ\
   *Wa haqqun 'alayka an la tahrima sa'ilaka wa la taruddah*\
   And it is binding upon Your generosity that You neither deprive nor turn away Your seeker.

95. وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ فِي التَّوْراةِ وَالْإِنْجيلِ وَالزَّبُورِ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْعَظيمِ\
   *Wa bikulli ismin huwa laka fit-Tawrati wal-Injeeli waz-Zaboori wal-Qur'anil-'azeem*\
   And by every Name belonging to You in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Glorious Qur'an,

96. وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ دَعاكَ بِهِ حَمَلَةُ عَرْشِكَ وَمَلائِكَتُكَ\
   *Wa bikulli ismin da'aka bihee hamalatu 'arshika wa mala'ikatuk*\
   And by every Name with which You were called upon by the bearers of Your Throne and Your angels,

97. وَأَنْبِياؤُكَ وَرُسُلُكَ\
   *Wa ambiya'uka wa rusuluk*\
   And Your Prophets and Your Messengers,

98. وَأَهْلُ طاعَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ\
   *Wa ahlu ta'atika min khalqik*\
   And the obedient among Your creation,

99. أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *An tusalliya 'ala Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad*\
   That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

100. وَأَنْ تُعَجِّلَ فَرَجَ وَلِيِّكَ وَابْنِ وَلِيِّكَ\
   *Wa an tu'ajjila faraja waliyyika wabni waliyyik*\
   And that You hasten the relief of Your appointed authority, the son of Your appointed authority,

101. وَتُعَجِّلَ خِزْيَ أَعْدائِهِ\
   *Wa tu'ajjila khizya a'da'ih*\
   And hasten the disgrace and defeat of his enemies.

102. وَتَجْعَلَنا مِنْ أَصْحابِهِ وَأَنْصارِهِ ، وَتَرْزُقَنا بِهِ رَجآءَنا ، وَتَسْتَجيبَ بِهِ دُعآءَنا\
   *Wa taj'alana min as-habihi wa ansarih, wa tarzuqana bihi raja'ana, wa tastajeeba bihi du'a'ana*\
   And make us among his companion and helper and grant us all our hopes through him and accept our prayers.\[2\]

103. فَ صَلّ عَل یٰ مُحَمّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمّدٍ،\
   *Fa salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*

104. وَ اجْعَلْ لِىْ فِيْ مَا تَشَاءُ اَنْ تُعَجّلَ فَرَجَ آلِ مُحَمّدٍ صَلّی الُ عَلَيْْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلّمَ،\
   *Waj'al lee fee ma tasha'u an tu'ajjila faraja ali Muhammadin sallallahu alayhi wa alihi wa sallam*

105. وَ عَجّلْ فَرَجِىْ وَ فَرَجَ اِخْوَ انِىْ مَقْرُوْناً بِفَرَجِهِمْ،\
   *Wa 'ajjil farajee wa faraja ikhwanee maqroonan bi-farajihim*

106. وَ تَفْعَلَ بِىْ مَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ.\
   *Wa taf'ala bee ma anta ahluh*

107. اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّد\
   *Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

108. اَللّهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ اَلْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ\
   *Allahumma antal-Hayyul-Qayyoomul-'Aliyyul-'Azeem*\
   O Allah You are the Ever Living, the Eternal the Elevated, the Mighty

109. اَلْخَالِقُ الرَّازِقُ اَلْمُحْيِي الْمُمِيْتُ\
   *Al-Khaliqur-Raziqul-Muhyil-Mumeet*\
   the Creator, the Sustainer the One who gives life and the One who causes to die

110. اَلْبَدِيئُ الْبَدِيْعُ\
   *Al-Badee'ul-Badee'*\
   the Beginner, the Unique

111. لَكَ الْكَرَمُ وَ لَكَ الْجُوْدُ\
   *Lakal-karamu wa lakal-jood*\
   For You is nobility and for You is generosity

112. وَ لَكَ الْمَنُّ وَ لَكَ الاَمْرُ\
   *Wa lakal-mannu wa lakal-amr*\
   and for You is grace and for You is the command

113. وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ\
   *Wahdaka la shareeka lak*\
   You are One there is no partner for You

114. يَا خَالِقُ يَا رَازِقُ\
   *Ya Khaliqu ya Raziq*\
   O Creator, O Sustainer

115. يَا مُحْيِي يَا مُمِيْتُ\
   *Ya Muhyee ya Mumeet*\
   O the One who gives life and the One who causes to die

116. يَا بَدِيْعُ يَا رَفِيْعُ\
   *Ya Badee'u ya Rafee'*\
   O the Unique, the Sublime

117. اَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *As'aluka an tusalliya ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   I ask you to bless Muhammad and his family

118. وَ اَنْ تَرْحَمَ ذُلِّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَ تَضَرُّعِي اِلَيْكَ\
   *Wa an tarhama dhulliy bayna yadayka wa tadarru'ee ilayk*\
   and to have mercy on my lowliness before You and my beseeching You

119. وَحْشَتِي مِنَ النَّاسِ وَ اُنْسِي بِك\
   *Wahshatee minan-nasi wa unsee bik*\
   and my loneliness from people and my intimacy with You

120. اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحُرْمَةِ مَنْ عَاذَ بِكَ مِنْكَ\
   *Allahumma innee as'aluka bi-hurmati man 'adha bika mink*\
   O Allah! I ask You by the honour of that person who has sought refuge in You

121. وَ لَجَأَ اِلٰى عِزِّكَ\
   *Wa laja'a ila 'izzik*\
   And the refuge of Your Honour

122. وَ اسْتَظَلَّ بِفَيْئِكَ\
   *Wastazalla bi-fay'ik*\
   Rested in the shade of Your Majesty

123. وَ اعْتَصَمَ بِحَبْلِكَ\
   *Wa'tasama bi-hablik*\
   And was familiar with Your ways

124. وَ لَمْ يَثِقْ اِلَّا بِكَ\
   *Wa lam yathiq illa bik*\
   And had no hopes from anyone else

125. يَا جَزِيْلَ الْعَطَايَا\
   *Ya jazeelal-'ataya*\
   O the giver of great rewards

126. يَا مُطْلِقَ الْاُسَارٰى\
   *Ya mutliqal-usara*\
   O the one to free the indigents

127. يَا مَنْ سَمّٰى نَفْسَهُ مِنْ جُوْدِهِ وَهَّابًا\
   *Ya man samma nafsahu min joodihi wahhaba*\
   O the one who has praised Himself with generosity and has named himself "Wahab" (the bestower)

128. وَ هَا اَنَا اَدْعُوْكَ\
   *Wa ha ana ad'ooka*\
   And that I call on You

129. رَغَبًا وَ رَهَبًا\
   *Raghaban wa rahaba*\
   In fear and anxiety

130. وَ خَوْفًا وَ طَمَعًا\
   *Wa khawfan wa tama'a*\
   In greed and success

131. وَ اِلْحَافًا وَ اِلْحَاحًا\
   *Wa ilhafan wa ilhaha*\
   In helplessness and freedom

132. وَ تَضَرُّعًا وَ تَمَلُّقًا\
   *Wa tadarru'an wa tamalluqa*\
   In gains and loses

133. وَ قَائِمًا وَ قَاعِدًا\
   *Wa qa'iman wa qa'ida*\
   Standing and sitting

134. وَ رَاكِعًا وَ سَاجِدًا\
   *Wa raki'an wa sajida*\
   In bowing and prostrating

135. وَ رَاكِبًا وَ مَاشِيًا\
   *Wa rakiban wa mashiya*\
   In walking and mounting

136. وَ ذَاهِبًا وَ جَائِيًا\
   *Wa dhahiban wa ja'iya*\
   Coming and going

137. وَ فِيْ كُلِّ حَالَاتِيْ\
   *Wa fee kulli halatee*\
   So much so that in all conditions

138. اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *As'aluka an tusalliya 'ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   I ask You to send Your mercy and blessings on Muhammad and his progeny

139. وَ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِيْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا\
   *Wa an taf'ala bee kadha wa kadha*\
   And to do for me... (ask for Your needs over here)

140. اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

141. اِلهِي تَعَرَّضَ لَكَ فِي هذَا اللَّيْلِ الْمُتَعَرِّضُوْنَ\
   *Ilahi ta'arrada laka fee hadhal-laylil-muta'arridoon*\
   O Allah, on this night the seekers have sought You

142. وَ قَصَدَكَ فِيْهِ الْقَاصِدُوْنَ\
   *Wa qasadaka feehil-qasidoon*\
   and the aspirers have aspired for You

143. وَ اَمَّلَ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفَكَ الطَّالِبُوْنَ\
   *Wa ammala fadlaka wa ma'roofakat-taliboon*\
   and the searchers have hoped for Your blessings and grace

144. وَ لَكَ فِي هذَا اللَّيْلِ نَفَحَاتٌ\
   *Wa laka fee hadhal-layli nafahat*\
   For You have in this night, hidden bounties

145. وَ جَوَائِزُ وَ عَطَايَا وَ مَوَاهِبُ\
   *Wa jawa'izu wa 'ataya wa mawahib*\
   and rewards and presents and gifts

146. تَمُنُّ بِهَا عَلى مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ\
   *Tamunnu biha 'ala man tasha'u min 'ibadik*\
   which You bestow upon whom you please from Your servants

147. وَ تَمْنَعُهَا مَنْ لَمْ تَسْبِقُ لَهُ الْعِنَايَةُ مِنْكَ\
   *Wa tamna'uha man lam tasbiq lahul-'inayatu mink*\
   and You deny them to one who has not reached Your regard

148. وَ هَا اَنَا ذَا عُبَيْدُكَ الْفَقِيْرُ اِلَيْكَ\
   *Wa ha ana dha 'ubaydukal-faqeeru ilayk*\
   Here I am,Your abject servant in need of You

149. اَلْمُؤَمِّلُ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفَكَ\
   *Al-mu'ammilu fadlaka wa ma'roofak*\
   hopeful of Your blessings and grace

150. فَاِنْ كُنْتَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ تَفَضَّلْتَ فِي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ\
   *Fa'in kunta ya mawlaya tafaddalta fee hadhihil-laylah*\
   So, O my Master if You have bestowed blessings on this night

151. عَلى اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ\
   *'Ala ahadin min khalqik*\
   on anyone of Your creatures

152. وَ عُدْتَ عَلَيْهِ بِعَائِدَةٍ مِنْ عَطْفِكَ\
   *Wa 'udta 'alayhi bi-'a'idatin min 'atfik*\
   and turned to him with affection

153. فَصَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *Fa-salli 'ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   then bless Muhammad and his family the pure, the purified,

154. اَلطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ اَلْخَيِّرِيْنَ اَلْفَاضِلِيْنَ\
   *At-tayyibeenat-tahireenal-khayyireenal-fadileen*\
   the virtuous onesthe excellent ones

155. وَ جُدْ عَلَيَّ بِطَوْلِكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفِكَ\
   *Wa jud 'alayya bi-tawlika wa ma'roofik*\
   and favor me with Your grace and bounty

156. يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *Ya Rabbal-'alameen, wa sallallahu 'ala Muhammad*\
   O Lord of the worlds And send blessings on Muhammad

157. خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا\
   *Khatamin-nabiyyeena wa alihit-tahireena wa sallama tasleema*\
   the seal of the Prophets and his family, the Purified and salute them witha perfect salutation

158. اِنَّ اللّهَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ\
   *Innallaha Hameedun Majeed*\
   Surely Allah is praiseworthy, Glorious

159. اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّي اَدْعُوْكَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَ فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَ\
   *Allahumma innee ad'ooka kama amarta fastajib lee kama wa'adt*\
   O Allah I have supplicated to You'as You have commanded.then answer me as You have promised.

160. اِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ\
   *Innaka la tukhliful-mee'ad*\
   Surely You do not break Your promises.

161. اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْدِنِيْ فِيْمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَ عَافِنِيْ فِيْمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَ تَوَلَّنِيْ فِيْمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ و\
   *allaahummah denee feeman hadayta wa a’afenee feeman a’afayta wa tawallanee feeman tawallayta wa*\
   O Allah! Guide me as those whom You have guided, and grant me well-being as those whom You have granted well-being, and take care of my affair as those whose affairs You have taken care of

162. َ بَارِكْ لِيْ فِيْمَا اَعْطَيْتَ وَ قِنِيْ شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ اِنَّكَ تَقْضِيْ وَ لَا يُقْضٰى عَلَيْكَ\
   *baarik lee feeman a-a’tayta wa qenee sharra maa qazayta innaka taqzee wa laa yuqzaa a’layka*\
   and bless me in what You grant me and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed, truly You decree and nothing is decreed upon You.

163. سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّ الْبَيْتِ اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ وَ اُوْمِنُ بِكَ وَ اَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ يَا رَحِيْمُ.\
   *subhaanaka rabbal bayte astaghferoka wa atoobo elayka wa oomeno beka wa atawakkalo a’layka wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa beka yaa raheemo.*\
   Glory be to You O Lord of the House! I seek forgiveness from You and turn to You, and I seek refuge with You and rely on You, and there is no power or might but by Your will, O Most Merciful!

164. إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ اصْدُرُ عَنْ بَابِكَ بِخَيْبَةٍ مِنْكَ\
   *ilahi kayfa asduru \`an babika bikhaybatin minka*\
   O my God, how can it be that I return from Your door carrying disappointment of You

165. وَقَدْ قَصَدْتُهُ عَلَىٰ ثِقَةٍ بِكَ\
   *wa qad qasadtuhu \`ala thiqatin bika*\
   after I have come to it putting my trust in You?

166. إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ تُؤْيِسُنِي مِنْ عَطَائِكَ\
   *ilahi kayfa tu'yisuni min \`ata'ika*\
   O my God, how can it be that You make me despair of Your gifts

167. وَقَدْ امَرْتَنِي بِدُعَائِكَ\
   *wa qad amartani bidu\`a'ika*\
   after You have ordered me to pray You?

168. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *salli \`ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin*\
   (Please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

169. وَٱرْحَمْنِي إِذَا ٱشْتَدَّ ٱلانِينُ\
   *warhamni idha ishtadda al-aninu*\
   and have mercy upon me when moaning will intensify,

170. وَحُظِرَ عَلَيَّ ٱلْعَمَلُ\
   *wa huzira \`alayya al\`amalu*\
   when action will be banned,

171. وَٱنْقَطَعَ مِنِّي ٱلامَلُ\
   *wanqata\`a minni al-amalu*\
   when hope will be cut off,

172. وَافْضَيْتُ إِلَىٰ ٱلْمَنُونِ\
   *wa afdaytu ila almanuni*\
   when I will be led to death,

173. وَبَكَتْ عَلَيَّ ٱلْعُيُونُ\
   *wa bakat \`alayya al\`uyunu*\
   when eyes will weep for me,

174. وَوَدَّعَنِي ٱلاهْلُ وَٱلاحْبَابُ\
   *wa wadda\`ani al-ahlu wal-ahbabu*\
   when my family members and dear ones will bid farewell to me,

175. وَحُثِيَ عَلَيَّ ٱلتُّرَابُ\
   *wa huthiya \`alayya altturabu*\
   when dust will be poured upon me,

176. وَنُسِيَ ٱسْمِي\
   *wa nusiya ismi*\
   when my name will be forgotten,

177. وَبَلِيَ جِسْمِي\
   *wa baliya jismi*\
   when my body will be rotten,

178. وَٱنْطَمَسَ ذِكْرِي\
   *wantamasa dhikri*\
   when my remembrance will be wiped out,

179. وَهُجِرَ قَبْرِي\
   *wa hujira qabri*\
   when my grave will be deserted;

180. فَلَمْ يَزُرْنِي زَائِرٌ\
   *falam yazurni za'irun*\
   so, no one will ever visit me

181. وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْنِي ذَاكِرٌ\
   *wa lam yadhkurni dhakirun*\
   and no one will ever remember me,

182. وَظَهَرَتْ مِنِّي ٱلْمَآثِمُ\
   *wa zaharat minni alma'athimu*\
   when the responsibilities of my sins will appear,

183. وَٱسْتَوْلَتْ عَلَيَّ ٱلْمَظَالِمُ\
   *wastawlat \`alayya almazalimu*\
   when my violations of the others’ rights will overtake me,

184. وَطَالَتْ شِكَايَةُ ٱلْخُصُومِ\
   *wa talat shikayatu alkhusumi*\
   when the complaints of my rivals will be admitted,

185. وَٱتَّصَلَتْ دَعْوَةُ ٱلْمَظْلُومِ\
   *wa ittasalat da\`watu almazlumi*\
   and when the prayer of the oppressed ones against me will be responded.

186. صَلِّ ٱللَّهُمَّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *salli allahumma \`ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin*\
   O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

187. وَارْضِ خُصُومِي عَنِّي\
   *wa ardi khusumi \`anni*\
   make my rivals be pleased with me

188. بِفَضْلِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ\
   *bifadlika wa ihsanika*\
   out of Your favoring and Your good turns,

189. وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ\
   *wa jud \`alayya bi\`afwika wa ridwanika*\
   and treat me magnanimously out of Your pardon and pleasure.

190. إِلٰهِي ذَهَبَتْ ايَّامُ لَذَّاتِي\
   *ilahi dhahabat ayyamu ladhdhati*\
   O Allah, the days of my pleasures have gone away

191. وَبَقِيَتْ مَآثِمِي وَتَبِعَاتِي\
   *wa baqiyat ma'athimi wa tabi\`ati*\
   and nothing remained but my sins and the liabilities of my wrongdoings.

192. وَقَدْ اتَيْتُكَ مُنِيباً تَائِباً\
   *wa qad ataytuka muniban ta'iban*\
   I have thus come to You repentant and penitent.

193. فَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي مَحْرُوماً وَلاَ خَائِباً\
   *fala taruddani mahruman wa la kha'iban*\
   So, (please) do not reject me deprived and disappointed.

194. اَللَّهُمَّ آمِنْ رَوْعَتِي\
   *allahumma amin raw\`ati*\
   O Allah, (please) secure my fear,

195. وَٱغْفِرْ زَلَّتِي\
   *waghfir zallati*\
   forgive my slips,

196. وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ\
   *wa tub \`alayya*\
   and accept my repentance.

197. إِنَّكَ انْتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ\
   *innaka anta alttawwabu alrrahimu*\
   Truly, You are the Oft-Returning, the All-merciful.

198. اَلَّلهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad*\
   O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

199. سَيِّدِي سَيِّدِي هذِهِ يَدَايَ قَدْ مَدَدْن.تُهُمَا اِلَيْكَ بِاذُنُوْبِ مَمْلُوْءَةً\
   *Sayyidi sayyidi hadhihi yadaya qad madad-tuhuma ilayka bidh-dhunoobi mamloo'atan*\
   My Master, My Master, I have stretched out these hands to You full of sins

200. وَ عَيْنَايَ بِالرَّجَاءِ مَمْدُوْدَةً وَحَقٌّ يِمَنْ دَعَاكَ بِالْكَرَمِ تَفَضُّلاَ\
   *Wa 'aynaya bir-raja'i mamdoodatan wa haqqun liman da'aka bil-karami tafaddula*\
   and my eyes stretched out with hope and it is the right of the one who calls You with regret and humility that You answer him with Generosity and Grace

201. سَيِّدِي آمِنْ اَهْلِ الشَّقَاءِ خَلُقْتَنِي قَاَطِيْلُ بُكَائِي\
   *Sayyidi a-min ahlish-shaqa'i khalaqtani fa-uteela buka'ee*\
   My master,have You created me from the unfortunate ones so I should lengthen my weeping?

202. اَمْ مِنْ اَهْلِ السَّعَادَةِ خَلُفْتَنٍي\
   *Am min ahlis-sa'adati khalaqtani*\
   or have You created me from the fortunate ones

203. فَاُبَشِّرُ رَجَائِي\
   *Fa-ubash-shira raja'ee*\
   so I should give glad tidings to my hopes?

204. سَيِّدِي لَوْ اَنَّ عَبْدًا اِسْتَطَاعَ الْهَرَبَ مِنْ مَوْلاَهُ\
   *Sayyidi law anna 'abdan istata'al-haraba min mawlah*\
   My master, if a servant was able to escape from his Master

205. لَكُنْتُ اَوَّلَ الْهَارِبِيْنَ مِنْكَ لكِنِّي اَعْلَمُ اَنِّي لاَ اَفُوْتُكَ\
   *Lakuntu awwalah-haribeena minka lakinnee a'lamu annee la afootuk*\
   then I would be the first of those who escape from You but I know that I cannot escape You

206. اِلَهِي وَ سَيِّدِي اِرْحَمْنِي مَصْرُوْعًا عَلى الْفِرَاشِ\
   *Ilahi wa sayyidi irhamni masroo'an 'alal-firash*\
   My God and my master, have mercy on me when I am lying on my bed\[dead\]

207. تُقَلِّبُنِي اَيْدِي اَحِبَّتِي وَارْحَمْنِي مَصطْرُوحًا عَلى الْمُغْتَسَلِ يُغَسِّلَنِي صَالِحُ جِيْرَتِي\
   *Tuqallibuni aydee ahibbatee warhamni matroohan 'alal-mughtasali yughassiluni salihu jeeratee*\
   Have mercy on me when the hands of my loved ones turn me when I am placed on the place of ghusl and the virtuous near ones wash me

208. وَاَرْحَمْنِي مَحْمُولاَ قَدْ تَنَاوَلَ اَلاَقْرِبَاءُ اَطْرَافَ جَنَازَتِي\
   *Warhamni mahmoolan qad tanawalal-aqriba'u atrafa janazatee*\
   Have mercy on me when I am being carried, and my relatives have surrounded my coffin

209. وَ ارْحَمْ فِي ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتِ الْمُظْلِمِ وَحْشَتِي وَ غُرْبَتِي وَ وَحْدَتِي\
   *Warham fee dhalikal-baytil-muzlimi wahshatee wa ghurbatee wa wahdatee*\
   Have mercy on me in that dark house on my fear, my separation, and my loneliness have mercy on me

210. رَبِّ اَسَاْتُ وَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَ بِئْسَ مَا صَنَعْتُ\
   *Rabbi asa'tu wa zalamtu nafsee wa bi'sa ma sana'tu*\
   O Allah! I am a sinner, I have done oppression on my self, and whatever I have done is wrong,

211. فَهَذِهِ يَدَایَ یَا رَبِِّ جَزَآءَ بِمَا کَسَبْتُ وَ هَاذِهِ\
   *Fahadhihi yadaya ya Rabbi jaza'an bima kasabtu wa hadhihi*\
   now both these hands are presented for punishment,

212. رَقَبَتِى خَاضِعَةً لِِّمَا اَتَيْتُ وَهَا اَنَا ذَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ\
   *Raqabatee khadi'atan lima ataytu wa ha ana dha bayna yadayk*\
   and the neck is bowed down due to my sins and now I have presented myself in Your presence.

213. فَخُذْ لِنَنفْسِی مِنْ نَفْسِى الرِِّضَا حَتَّى تَرْضَى لَكَ\
   *Fakhudh li-nafsee min nafseer-rida hatta tarda lakal-*\
   So take for me my satisfaction from myself until it is satisfied with you.

214. الْعُتْبَى لاَ اَعُوْدُ\
   *'Utba la a'ood*\
   so that You love my actions and then I never repeat such deeds again.
