1. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha adama safwati allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam the choice of Allah.

2. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ امِينِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha nuhin amini allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah the trustee of Allah.

3. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha ibrahima khalili allahi*\
   Peace be upon you O inheritor of Abraham the Friend of Allah.

4. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَىٰ كَلِيمِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha musa kalimi allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses the spoken by Allah.

5. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَىٰ رُوحِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha \`isa ruhi allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus the spirit of Allah.

6. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha muhammadin*\
   Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad,

7. صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ حَبِيبِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *salla allahu \`alayhi wa alihi habibi allahi*\
   blessings of Allah be upon him and his Household, the most-beloved of Allah.

8. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عَلِيٍّ حُجَّةِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waritha \`aliyyin hujjati allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Ali the Argument of Allah.

9. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ ايُّهَا ٱلْوَصِيُّ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلْتَّقِيُّ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ayyuha alwasiyyu albarru alttqiyyu*\
   Peace be upon you, O obedient and pious successor.

10. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ ثَارِهِ وَٱلْوِتْرَ ٱلْمَوْتُورَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya thara allahi wabna tharihi walwitra almawtura*\
   Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His vengeance, and the unavenged so far.

11. اشْهَدُ انَّكَ قَدْ اقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ\
   *ashhadu annaka qad aqamta alssalata*\
   I bear witness that you performed the prayers,

12. وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ\
   *wa atayta alzzakata*\
   defrayed the poor-rate,

13. وَامَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ\
   *wa amarta bilma\`rufi*\
   enjoined the right,

14. وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ\
   *wa nahayta \`an almunkari*\
   forbade the evil,

15. وَجَاهَدْتَ فِي ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ\
   *wa jahadta fi allahi haqqa jihadihi*\
   and strove for the sake of Allah as exactly as strife must be

16. حَتَّىٰ ٱسْتُبيحَ حَرَمُكَ وَقُتِلْتَ مَظْلُوماً\
   *hatta istubiha haramuka wa qutilta mazluman*\
   until your inviolability was violated and you were slain wrongfully.

17. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya aba \`abdillahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O Aba-\`Abdullah.

18. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna rasuli allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.

19. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ سَيِّدِ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna sayyidi alwasiyyina*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of the chief of the prophets’ successors.

20. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna fatimata alzzahra'i*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima the luminous lady

21. سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ\
   *sayyidati nisa'i al\`alamina*\
   and the doyenne of the women of the worlds.

22. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَطَلَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya batala almuslimina*\
   Peace be upon you, O hero of Muslims.

23. يَا مَوْلاَيَ\
   *ya mawlaya*\
   O my master,

24. اشْهَدُ انَّكَ كُنْتَ نُوراً فِي ٱلاصْلاَبِ ٱلشَّامِخَةِ\
   *ashhadu annaka kunta nuran fi al-aslabi alshshamikhati*\
   I bear witness that You were light in the lofty loins

25. وَٱلارْحَامِ ٱلْمُطَهَّرَةِ\
   *wal-arhami almutahharati*\
   and purified wombs.

26. لَمْ تُنَجِّسْكَ ٱلْجَاهِلِيَّةُ بِانْجَاسِهَا\
   *lam tunajjiska aljahiliyyatu bi'anjasiha*\
   The ignorance could not stain you with its impurities

27. وَلَمْ تُلْبِسْكَ مِنْ مُدْلَهِمَّاتِ ثِيَابِهَا\
   *wa lam tulbiska min mudlahimmati thiyabiha*\
   or dress you its gloomy garbs.

28. وَاشْهَدُ انَّكَ مِنْ دَعَائِمِ ٱلدِّينِ\
   *wa ashhadu annaka min da\`a'imi alddini*\
   I also bear witness that you are one of the pillars of the religion,

29. وَارْكَانِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ\
   *wa arkani almuslimina*\
   the supports of Muslims,

30. وَمَعْقِلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ\
   *wa ma\`qili almu'minina*\
   and the havens of the faithful believers.

31. وَاشْهَدُ انَّكَ ٱلإِمَامُ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلتَّقِيُّ ٱلرَّضِيُّ\
   *wa ashhadu annaka al-imamu albarru alttqiyyu alrrdiyyu*\
   I also bear witness that you are the God-fearing, pious, pleased,

32. ٱلزَّكِيُّ ٱلْهَادِي ٱلْمَهْدِيُّ\
   *alzzakiyyu alhadi almahdiyyu*\
   pure, guide, and well-guided Imam.

33. وَاشْهَدُ انَّ ٱلائِمَّةَ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ\
   *wa ashhadu anna al-a'immata min wuldika*\
   I also bear witness that the Imams from your progeny

34. كَلِمَةُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَاعْلاَمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ\
   *kalimatu alttaqwa wa a\`lamu alhuda*\
   are the spokesmen of piety, the signs of guidance,

35. وَٱلْعُروَةُ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ\
   *wal\`urwatu alwuthqa*\
   the firmest handle (of Islam),

36. وَٱلْحُجَّةُ عَلَىٰ اهْلِ ٱلدُّنْيَا\
   *walhujjatu \`ala ahli alddunya*\
   and the arguments against the inhabitants of this world.

37. إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ\
   *inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji\`una*\
   To Allah we belong and to Him is our return.

38. يَا مَوْلاَيَ انَا مُوَالٍ لِوَلِيِّكُمْ\
   *ya mawlaya ana muwalin liwaliyyikum*\
   O my master, I am loyal to your loyalists

39. وَمُعَادٍ لِعَدُوِّكُمْ\
   *wa mu\`adin li\`aduwwikum*\
   and enemy of your enemies.

40. وَانَا بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَبِإِيَابِكُمْ\
   *wa ana bikum mu'minun wa bi'iyabikum*\
   I also believe in you all and in your Return

41. مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَايعِ دِينِي\
   *muqinun bisharayi\`i dini*\
   and I have full confidence in the laws of my religion

42. وَخَوَاتيمِ عَمَلِي\
   *wa khawatimi \`amali*\
   and in the seals of my deeds.

43. وَقَلْبِي لِقَلْبِكُمْ سِلْمٌ\
   *wa qalbi liqalbikum silmun*\
   My heart is at peace with your heart

44. وَامْرِي لاِمْرِكُمْ مُتَّبِعٌ\
   *wa amri li'amrikum muttabi\`un*\
   and all my affairs are following your commands.

45. يَا مَوْلاَيَ اتَيْتُكَ خَائِفاً فَآمِنِّي\
   *ya mawlaya ataytuka kha'ifan fa'aminni*\
   O my master, I have come to you fearful; so, (please) secure me.

46. وَاتَيْتُكَ مُسْتَجِيراً فَاجِرْنِي\
   *wa ataytuka mustajiran fa'ajirni*\
   I have come to you seeking shelter; so, (please) grant me shelter.

47. وَاتَيْتُكَ فَقِيراً فَاغْنِنِي\
   *wa ataytuka faqiran fa'aghnini*\
   I have come to you deprived; so, (please) grant me wealth.

48. سَيِّدِي وَمَوْلاَيَ\
   *sayyidi wa mawlaya*\
   My chief and master,

49. انْتَ مَوْلاَيَ حُجَّةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَلْقِ اجْمَعِينَ\
   *anta mawlaya hujjatu allahi \`ala alkhalqi ajma\`ina*\
   you are, O my master, Allah’s argument against all of His creatures.

50. آمَنْتُ بِسِرِّكُمْ وَعَلاَنِيَتِكُمْ\
   *amantu bisirrikum wa \`alaniyatikum*\
   I believe in your secret and open affairs,

51. وَبِظَاهِرِكُمْ وَبَاطِنِكُمْ\
   *wa bizahirikum wa batinikum*\
   in your visible and invisible affairs,

52. وَاوَّلِكُمْ وَآخِرِكُمْ\
   *wa awwalikum wa akhirikum*\
   and in the foremost and the last of you.

53. وَاشْهَدُ انَّكَ ٱلتَّالِي لِكِتَابِ ٱللَّهِ وَامينُ ٱللَّهِ\
   *wa ashhadu annaka alttali likitabi allahi wa aminu allahi*\
   I also bear witness that you have recited the Book of Allah and you are the Trustee of Allah,

54. ٱلدَّاعِي إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ\
   *aldda\`i ila allahi bilhikmati walmaw\`izati alhasanati*\
   who calls to Allah with wisdom and excellent exhortation.

55. لَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ امَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ\
   *la\`ana allahu ummatan zalamatka*\
   May Allah curse the people who wronged you.

56. وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ امَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذٰلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ\
   *wa la\`ana allahu ummatan sami\`at bidhalika faradiyat bihi*\
   May Allah curse the people who were pleased when they heard of that.

57. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya waliyya allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O Allah’s intimate servant.

58. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna rasuli allahi*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.

59. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ خَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna khatami alnnabiyyina*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of the seal of the prophets.

60. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna fatimata*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of Fatima

61. سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ\
   *sayyidati nisa'i al\`alamina*\
   the doyenne of the women of the worlds.

62. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ امِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka yabna amiri almu'minina*\
   Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful.

63. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ ايُّهَا ٱلْمَظْلُومُ ٱلشَّهِيدُ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ayyuha almazlumu alshshahidu*\
   Peace be upon you, O persecuted and martyred.

64. بِابِي انْتَ وَامِّي\
   *bi'abi anta wa ummi*\
   May Allah accept my father and my mother as ransoms for you.

65. عِشْتَ سَعيداً\
   *\`ishta sa\`idan*\
   You lived happily

66. وَقُتِلْتَ مَظْلُوماً شَهيداً\
   *wa qutilta mazluman shahidan*\
   and were killed as wronged and martyred.

67. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ ايُّهَا ٱلذَّابُّونَ عَنْ تَوْحِيدِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *alssalamu \`alaykum ayyuha aldhdhabbuna \`an tawhidi allahi*\
   Peace be upon you all, O defenders of (the faith of) Allah’s Oneness.

68. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ\
   *alssalamu \`alaykum bima sabartum*\
   Peace be upon you because you were constant.

69. فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَىٰ ٱلدَارِ\
   *fani\`ma \`uqba alddari*\
   How excellent then the issue of the abode is.

70. بِابي انْتُمْ وَامِّي\
   *bi'abi antum wa ummi*\
   May Allah accept my father and my mother as ransoms for you.

71. فُزْتُمْ فَوْزاً عَظيماً\
   *fuztum fawzan \`aziman*\
   You achieved a great success.

72. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ ايُّهَا ٱلْعَبْدُ ٱلصَّالِحُ وَٱلصِّدِّيقُ ٱلْمُوَاسِي\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ayyuha al\`abdu alssalihu walssiddiqu almuwasi*\
   Peace be upon you, O righteous servant (of Allah) and veracious self-sacrificing.

73. اشْهَدُ انَّكَ آمَنْتَ بِٱللَّهِ\
   *ashhadu annaka amanta billahi*\
   I bear witness that you believed in Allah,

74. وَنَصَرْتَ ٱبْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *wa nasarta ibna rasuli allahi*\
   supported the son of Allah’s Messenger,

75. وَدَعَوْتَ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *wa da\`awta ila sabili allahi*\
   called to the way of Allah,

76. وَوَاسَيْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ\
   *wa wasayta binafsika*\
   and sacrificed yourself for Him.

77. فَعَلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ افْضَلُ ٱلتَّحِيَّةِ وَٱلسَّلاَمِ\
   *fa\`alayka min allahi afdalu alttahiyyati walssalami*\
   So, the most favorite greetings and compliments of Allah be upon you.

78. بِابِي انْتَ وَامِّي يَا نَاصِرَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ\
   *bi'abi anta wa ummi ya nasira dini allahi*\
   May Allah accept my father and mother as ransoms for you, O supporter of Allah’s religion.

79. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلصِّدِّيقِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya nasira alhusayni alssiddiqi*\
   Peace be upon you, O supporter of al-Husayn the veracious.

80. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلشَّهِيدِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya nasira alhusayni alshshahidi*\
   Peace be upon you, O supporter of al-Husayn the martyr.

81. عَلَيْكَ مِنِّي ٱلسَّلاَمُ\
   *\`alayka minni alssalamu*\
   Peace from me be upon you

82. مَا بَقِيتُ وَبَقِيَ ٱللَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ\
   *ma baqitu wa baqiya allaylu walnnaharu*\
   as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night.

83. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya mawlaya*\
   Peace be upon you, O my master.

84. سَلاَمَ مُوَدِّعٍ لاََ قَالٍ وَلاَ سَئِمٍ\
   *salama muwaddi\`in la qalin wa la sa'imin*\
   This is the greeting of one who has to bid you farewell although he is neither bored with you nor tired of you.

85. فَإِنْ انْصَرِفْ فَلاَ عَنْ مَلاَلَةٍ\
   *fa'in ansarif fala \`an malalatin*\
   If I leave (you), this is not because of weariness,

86. وَإِنْ اقِمْ فَلاَ عَنْ سُوءِ ظَنٍّ\
   *wa in uqim fala \`an su'i zannin*\
   and if I reside, this is not because of mistrusting

87. بِمَا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّابِرِينَ\
   *bima wa\`ada allahu alssabirina*\
   the promise that Allah has made for the serene ones.

88. يَا مَوْلاَيَ لاََ جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ آخِرَ ٱلْعَهْدِ مِنِّي لِزِيَارَتِكَ\
   *ya mawlaya la ja\`alahu allahu akhira al\`ahdi minni liziyaratika*\
   O my master, may Allah not decide this time of my visit to you to be the last

89. وَرَزَقَنِيَ ٱلْعَوْدَ إِلَيْكَ\
   *wa razaqani al\`awda ilayka*\
   and may He endue me with more chances to re-visit you,

90. وَٱلْمَقَامَ فِي حَرَمِكَ\
   *walmaqama fi haramika*\
   to reside in your sanctuary,

91. وَٱلْكَوْنَ فِي مَشْهَدِكَ\
   *walkawna fi mashhadika*\
   and to be in your presence.

92. آمِينَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ\
   *amina rabba al\`alamina*\
   Respond to me, O Lord of the worlds!

93. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ ٱلْمَقَامِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya baba almaqami*\
   Peace be upon you, O door to the High Position.

94. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا شَرِيكَ ٱلْقُرْآنِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya sharika alqur'ani*\
   Peace be upon you, O partner of the Quran.

95. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱلْخِصَامِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya hujjata alkhisami*\
   Peace be upon you, O argument against disputants.

96. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِينَةَ ٱلنَّجَاةِ\
   *alssalamu \`alayka ya safinata alnnajati*\
   Peace be upon you, O ark of salvation.

97. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَلاَئِكَةَ رَبِّي\
   *alssalamu \`alaykum ya mala'ikata rabbi*\
   Peace be upon you all, O angels of my Lord

98. ٱلْمُقِيمِينَ فِي هٰذَا ٱلْحَرَمِ\
   *almuqimina fi hadha alharami*\
   who are residing in this sanctuary.

99. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ ابَداً\
   *alssalamu \`alayka abadan*\
   Peace be upon you forever

100. مَا بَقِيتُ وَبَقِيَ ٱللَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ\
   *ma baqitu wa baqiya allaylu walnnaharu*\
   as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night.

101. إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ\
   *inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji\`una*\
   To Allah we belong and to Him is our return.

102. وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ\
   *wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al\`aliyyi al\`azimi*\
   There is neither might nor power except with Allah the All-high and All-great.

103. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَكَ صَلَّيْتُ\
   *allahumma inni laka sallaytu*\
   O Allah, I have offered a prayer for You

104. وَلَكَ رَكَعْتُ وَلَكَ سَجَدْتُ\
   *wa laka raka\`tu wa laka sajadtu*\
   and I have genuflected and prostrated myself for You

105. وَحْدَكَ لاََ شَرِيكَ لَكَ\
   *wahdaka la sharika laka*\
   alone without setting any partner to You,

106. فَإِنَّهُ لاََ تَجُوزُ ٱلصَّلاَةُ\
   *fa'innahu la tajuzu alssalatu*\
   because prayers,

107. وَٱلرُّكُوعُ وَٱلسُّجُودُ إِلاَّ لَكَ\
   *walrruku\`u walssujudu illa laka*\
   genuflections, and prostrations are illegal for anyone save You,

108. لاِنَّكَ انْتَ ٱللَّهُ لاََ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ\
   *li'annaka anta allahu alladhi la ilaha illa anta*\
   because You are Allah; there is no god save You.

109. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍٍ\
   *allahumma salli \`ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin*\
   O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

110. وَابْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّي افْضَلَ ٱلسَّلاَمِ وَٱلتَّحِيَّةِ\
   *wa ablighhum \`anni afdala alssalami walttahiyyati*\
   convey to them the most favorite salutations and greetings from me,

111. وَٱرْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ ٱلسَّلاَمَ\
   *wardud \`alayya minhum alssalama*\
   and convey to me their response to my greeting.

112. اَللَّهُمَّ وَهَاتَانِ ٱلرَّكْعَتَانِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي\
   *allahumma wa hatani alrrak\`atani hadiyyatun minni*\
   O Allah, these two units of prayer are a present from me

113. إِلَىٰ سَيِّدِي ٱلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ\
   *ila sayyidi alhusayni ibni \`aliyyin*\
   to my master al-Husayn the son of Ali,

114. عَلَيْهِمَا ٱلسَّلاَمُ\
   *\`alayhima alssalamu*\
   peace be upon both of them.

115. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَيْهِ\
   *allahumma salli \`ala muhammadin wa \`alayhi*\
   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon him,

116. وَتَقَبَّلْهُمَا مِنِّي وَٱجْزِنِي عَليْهِمَا\
   *wa taqabbalhuma minni wajzini \`alayhima*\
   accept these two units of prayer from me, and reward me for them

117. افْضَلَ امَلِي وَرَجَائِي فِيكَ وَفِي وَلِيِّكَ\
   *afdala amali wa raja'i fika wa fi waliyyika*\
   by granting me the best of my hope and expectation in you and in Your Friend,

118. يَا وَلِيَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ\
   *ya waliyya almu'minina*\
   O Guardian of the believers!

119. اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ\
   *alssalamu \`ala alhusayni ibni \`aliyyin*\
   Peace be upon al-Husayn the son of Ali,

120. ٱلْمَظْلُومِ ٱلشَّهِيدِ\
   *almazlumi alshshahidi*\
   the wronged and martyred,

121. قَتِيلِ ٱلْعَبَرَاتِ\
   *qatili al\`abarati*\
   the victim of shed tears,

122. وَاسِيرِ ٱلْكُرُبَاتِ\
   *wa asiri alkurubati*\
   and the captive of agonies.

123. اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اشْهَدُ انَّهُ وَلِيُّكَ وَٱبْنُ وَلِيِّكَ\
   *allahumma inna ashhadu annahu waliyyuka wabnu waliyyika*\
   O Allah, I do bear witness that he is Your intimate friend and the son of Your intimate friend

124. وَصَفِيُّكَ ٱلثَّائِرُ بِحَقِّكَ\
   *wa safiyyuka alththa'iru bihaqqika*\
   and Your choicest one who revolted to demand with Your right.

125. اكْرَمْتَهُ بِكَرَامَتِكَ\
   *akramtahu bikaramatika*\
   You have thus honored him with Your honor,

126. وَخَتَمْتَ لَهُ بِٱلشَّهَادَةِ\
   *wa khatamta lahu bilshshahadati*\
   sealed his lifetime with martyrdom,

127. وَجَعَلْتَهُ سَيِّداً مِنَ ٱلسَّادَةِ\
   *wa ja\`altahu sayyidan min alssadati*\
   made him one of the chiefs

128. وَقَائِداً مِنَ ٱلْقَادَةِ\
   *wa qa'idan min alqadati*\
   and one of the leaders,

129. وَاكْرَمْتَهُ بِطِيبِ ٱلْوِلاَدَةِ\
   *wa akramtahu bitibi alwiladati*\
   honored him with immaculate birth,

130. وَاعْطَيْتَهُ مَوَاريثَ ٱلانْبِيَاءِ\
   *wa a\`taytahu mawaritha al-anbiya'i*\
   gave him the inheritances of the prophets,

131. وَجَعَلْتَهُ حُجَّةً عَلَىٰ خَلْقِكَ مِنَ ٱلاوْصِيَاءِ\
   *wa ja\`altahu hujjatan \`ala khalqika min al-awsiya'i*\
   and made him argument against Your creatures and one of the Successors.

132. فَاعْذَرَ فِي ٱلدُّعَاءِ\
   *fa'a\`dhara fi alddu\`a'i*\
   So, he called to You flawlessly,

133. وَمَنَحَ ٱلنَّصِيحَةَ\
   *wa manaha alnnasihata*\
   gave advice,

134. وَبَذَلَ مُهْجَتَهُ فِيكَ\
   *wa badhala muhjatahu fika*\
   and sacrificed himself for Your sake

135. حَتَّىٰ ٱسْتَنْقَذَ عِبَادَكَ مِنَ ٱلْجَهَالَةِ وَحَيْرَةِ ٱلضَّلاَلَةِ\
   *hatta istanqadha \`ibadaka min aljahalati wa hayrati alddalalati*\
   until he could save Your servants from ignorance and perplexity of straying off.

136. وَقَدْ تَوَازَرَ عَلَيْهِ مَنْ غَرَّتْهُ ٱلدُّنْيَا\
   *wa qad tawazara \`alayhi man gharrat-hu alddunya*\
   Yet, those whom were seduced by this worldly life,

137. وَبَاعَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ ٱلآخِرَةِ بِٱلادْنَىٰ\
   *wa ba\`a hazzahu min al-akhirati bil-adna*\
   those who sold their share of the Hereafter with the lowly price,

138. وَتَرَدَّىٰ فِي هَوَاهُ\
   *wa taradda fi hawahu*\
   those who perished because of following their desires,

139. وَاسْخَطَكَ وَاسْخَطَ نَبِيَّكَ\
   *wa askhataka wa askhata nabiyyaka*\
   those who brought to themselves Your wrath and the wrath of Your Prophet,

140. وَاطَاعَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ اوْلِي ٱلشِّقَاقِ وَٱلنِّفَاقِ\
   *wa ata\`a min \`ibadika uli alshshiqaqi walnnifaqi*\
   and those who obeyed the dissident and hypocritical servants of You

141. وَحَمَلَةَ ٱلاوْزَارِ ٱلْمُسْتَوْجِبِينَ ٱلنَّارَ\
   *wa hamalata al-awzari almustawjibina alnnara*\
   and the bearers of the burdens (of sins) who deserve Hellfire—all those supported each other against him;

142. فَجَاهَدَهُمْ فِيكَ صَابِراً مُحْتَسِباً\
   *fajahadahum fika sabiran muhtasiban*\
   so, he fought against them with steadfastness and expectation of Your reward,

143. مُقْبِلاًَ غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ\
   *muqbilan ghayra mudbirin*\
   facing them courageously, never turning back,

144. لاََ تَاخُذُهُ فِي ٱللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ\
   *la ta'khudhuhu fi allahi lawmatu la'imin*\
   and never fearing the blame of anyone concerning carrying out his duty towards You

145. حَتَّىٰ سُفِكَ فِي طَاعَتِكَ دَمُهُ\
   *hatta sufika fi ta\`atika damuhu*\
   until his blood was shed while he was in obedience to You

146. وَٱسْتُبيحَ حَرِيـمُهُ\
   *wastubiha harimuhu*\
   and his inviolability was also infringed.

147. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْهُمْ لَعْناً وَبِيلاًَ\
   *allahumma il\`anhum la\`nan wabilan*\
   O Allah, curse them with incessant curses

148. وَعَذِّبْهُمْ عَذَاباً الِيماً\
   *wa \`adhdhibhum \`adhaban aliman*\
   and chastise them with painful chastisement.
