Amaal for night preceding 27th Ramadan

Four Rakaat: Surah Al Faatih’ah, recite recite Soorah al Mulk once or Soorah Al Ikhlaas 25 times.

Ghusl is recommended.

It is also recommended to do the minimum Aamal of Laylatul Qadr of the 2 Rakat Salat & Quran Aamal

## Text

Each line gives the Arabic, then the transliteration in italics, then the English.

1. اللَّهُمَّ ٱرْزُقْنِي ٱلتَّجَافِيَ عَنْ دَارِ ٱلْغُرُورِ\
   *allahumma urzuqni alttajafiya \`an dari alghururi*\
   O Allah, (please) present me alienation from the abode of delusion,

2. وَٱلإِنَابَةَ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلْخُلُودِ\
   *wal-inabata ila dari alkhuludi*\
   turning to the abode of eternity,

3. وَٱلاِسْتِعدَادَ لِلْمَوْتِ قَبْلَ حُلُولِ ٱلْفَوتِ\
   *walisti\`dada lilmawti qabla hululi alfawti*\
   and readiness for death before it is too late.

4. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ‌ لا يَعْلَمُها إِلَّا هُوَ\
   Glory be to God who has the keys of the unseen.

5. وَ يَعْلَمُ ما فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ\
   None but He knows them. He knows what is in the land and the sea.

6. وَ ما تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُها وَ لا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُماتِ الْأَرْضِ وَ لا رَطْبٍ وَ لا يابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتابٍ مُبِينٍ‌\
   Not a leaf falls but He knows it, not a grain grows in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry but it is noted in a Clear Book.

7. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ\
   Glory be to God, the Creator of the breath of life!

8. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْمُصَوِّرِ\
   Glory be to God, the Bestower of Forms!

9. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ الْأَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا\
   Glory be to God who created all the pairs, male and female!

10. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَ النُّورِ\
   Glory be to God who fixed the darkness and light!

11. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَ النَّوَى سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ\
   Glory be to God who splits grains and seeds! Glory be to God, the Creator of all things!

12. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرَى وَ مَا لَا يُرَى\
   Glory be to God, the Creator of the seen and the unseen!

13. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ‌\
   Glory be to God to the Extent of His Words!

14. سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ رَبِ‌\
   Glory be to God – Lord of the worlds.‟

15. رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنا ذُنُوبَنا وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئاتِنا وَ تَوَفَّنا مَعَ الْأَبْرارِ\
   “Our Lord! We have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, „Believe you in the Lord,‟ and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous.

16. رَبَّنا وَ آتِنا ما وَعَدْتَنا عَلى‌ رُسُلِكَ وَ لا تُخْزِنا يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ إِنَّكَ لا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعادَ\
   Our Lord! Grant us what You did promise to us through Your apostles, and save us from shame on the Day of Judgment: For You never break Your promise.‟1 „

17. رَبَّنا أَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَ أَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنا بِذُنُوبِنا فَهَلْ إِلى‌ خُرُوجٍ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ‌\
   Our Lord! Twice have You made us without life, and twice have You given us Life! Now have we established our sins: Is there any way out (of this)?‟2 „

18. رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذابَها كانَ غَراماً رَبَّنا هَبْ لَنا مِنْ أَزْواجِنا وَ ذُرِّيَّاتِنا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَ اجْعَلْنا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِماماً\
   Our Lord! Avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous.‟3 „Our Lord! Grant to us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.‟4

19. رَبَّنا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنا وَ إِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنا وَ إِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ\
   „…Our Lord! In You do we trust, and to You do we turn in repentance: to You is (our) Final Goal. Our Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial for the Unbelievers, but forgive us, our Lord! For You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise….‟5

20. رَبَّنا لا تَجْعَلْنا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنا ذُنُوبَنَا وَ لِإِخْوانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونا بِالْإِيمانِ وَ لا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا\
   „Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed.

21. رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ رَؤُفٌ رَحِيمٌ‌ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ\
   Our Lord! You are indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.‟ ”

22. وَ اسْتُرْ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوبِي وَ عُيُوبِي وَ اغْفِرْ لِي بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدِ إِنَّكَ الرَّءُوفُ الرَّحِيمُ\
   Conceal our sins and defects and forgive us for the sake Muhammad and his progeny (s) surely you are most gracious and merciful

23. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ‌ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَ الْأُنْثى\
   O Allah, I ask You, O He who created the male and female

24. ‌ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ إِذا تُمْنى‌\
   from a sperm drop when it is emitted,

25. يَا مَنْ‌ أَهْلَكَ عاداً الْأُولى‌ وَ ثَمُودَ\
   O He who destroyed 'Ad the first and Thamud

26. فَما أَبْقى‌ وَ قَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ\
   and left none of them, and the people of Noah before.

27. إِنَّهُمْ كانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَ أَطْغى‌\
   Indeed, they were more unjust and more rebellious.

28. يَا مَنْ فَتَحَ‌ أَبْوابَ السَّماءِ بِماءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ\
   O He who opened the doors of heaven with pouring water

29. وَ فَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُوناً\
   and caused the earth to burst with springs,

30. فَالْتَقَى الْماءُ عَلى‌ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ\
   so the waters met for a matter already decreed.

31. يَا مَنْ يَسَّرَ الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ\
   O He who has made the Quran easy for remembrance,

32. فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ\
   so is there any who will remember?

33. يَا مَنْ نَجَّى آلَ لُوطٍ بِسَحَرٍ نِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِهِ\
   O He who saved the family of Lot at dawn, as a favor from Him.

34. كَذَلِكَ يَجْزِي مَنْ شَكَرَ\
   Thus, He rewards those who are grateful.

35. يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ بِقَدَرِ\
   O He who created everything with measure,

36. يَا مَنْ أَخَذَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ‌ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ\
   who took the people of Pharaoh with a mighty grip.

37. يَا مَنْ رَفَعَ السَّمَاءَ وَ وَضَعَ الْمِيزانَ‌\
   O He who raised the heavens and set the balance.

38. يَا مَنْ وَضَعَ الْأَرْضَ لِلْأَنَامِ\
   O He who laid out the earth for creatures.

39. يَا مَنْ‌ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ\
   O He whose praise is sung by whatever is in the heavens and the earth,

40. وَ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ‌\
   and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

41. يَا مَنْ‌ هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَ الْآخِرُ\
   O He who is the First and the Last,

42. وَ الظَّاهِرُ وَ الْباطِنُ\
   the Manifest and the Hidden,

43. وَ هُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَلِيمٌ‌\
   and He is, of all things, Knowing.

44. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا نَاجَيْتُكَ بِهِ مِنْ مِدْحَتِكَ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا\
   O Allah, I ask You, by praising You today,

45. أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عِتْرَتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ\
   to send blessings on Muhammad and his pure progeny,

46. وَ أَنْ تَفُكَّ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ\
   and to free my neck from the Fire.

47. يَا مَنْ أَيَادِيهِ وَ نِعَمُهُ لَا تُحْصَى بِعَدَدٍ\
   O He whose favors and blessings cannot be counted

48. وَ لَا تُكَافَى بِعَمَلٍ\
   or repaid by any action.

49. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي وَ لَمْ أَكُ‌ شَيْئاً مَذْكُوراً\
   Praise be to Allah, who created me when I was nothing mentioned.

50. وَ فَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلًا\
   And favored me over many of whom He created with a preference.

51. وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَزَقَنِي وَ لَمْ أَمْلِكْ شَيْئاً\
   And praise be to Allah, who provided for me when I possessed nothing,

52. وَ فَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ فِي الرِّزْقِ\
   and favored me over many of whom He created in provision.

53. وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ\
   Praise be to Allah, and I seek forgiveness from Allah for every sin

54. وَ أَسْأَلُهُ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا وَ سَاعَتِي هَذِهِ\
   and ask Him in this day, this hour,

55. وَ زَمَانِي أَنْ يَتَكَرَّمَ عَلَيَّ بِالْعَفْوِ مِنْ عَذَابِهِ\
   and this time to be gracious to me with pardon from His punishment,

56. وَ الْإِقَالَةِ مِنْ عِقَابِهِ وَ الْقَبُولِ لِمَا فَرَضَ عَلَيَّ\
   relief from His retribution, acceptance of what He has decreed upon me,

57. وَ أَنْ يَرْزُقَنِي خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ\
   and to grant me the best of this world and the Hereafter.

58. وَ الْأَمْنَ وَ الْعَافِيَةَ وَ الْغِنَى وَ الْمَغْفِرَةَ\
   And security, well-being, wealth, and forgiveness.

59. إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ\
   Indeed, You are capable of everything.

60. وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ\
   And may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.

61. يَا مَادَّ ٱلظِّلِّ\
   *ya madda aldhilli*\
   O Spreader of the shade

62. وَلَوْ شِئْتَ لَجَعَلْتَهُ سَاكِناً\
   *wa law shi'ta laja\`altahu sakinan*\
   and if You willed, You could make it still,

63. وَجَعَلْتَ ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلاً\
   *wa ja\`alta alshshamsa \`alayhi dalilan*\
   then You have made the sun its pilot,

64. ثُمَّ قَبَضْتَهُ إِلَيْكَ قَبْضاً يَسِيراً\
   *thumma qabadtahu ilayka qabdan yasiran*\
   then You withdraw it to Us, a gradual withdrawal!

65. يَاذَا ٱلْجُودِ وَٱلطَّوْلِ\
   *ya dha aljudi walttawli*\
   O Lord of magnanimity, conferral,

66. وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَٱلآلاَءِ\
   *walkibrya'i wal-ala'i*\
   greatness, and bounties!

67. لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ\
   *la ilaha illa anta*\
   There is no god save You!

68. عَالِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَادَةِ\
   *\`alimu alghaybi walshshahadati*\
   You are the Knower of the hidden and the witnessed,

69. ٱلرَّحْمٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ\
   *alrrahmanu alrrahimu*\
   the All-beneficent, the All-merciful!

70. لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ\
   *la ilaha illa anta*\
   There is no god save You.

71. يَا قُدُّوسُ يَا سَلاَمُ\
   *ya quddusu ya salamu*\
   O All-holy! O (Source of) Peace!

72. يَا مُؤْمِنُ يَا مُهَيْمِنُ\
   *ya mu'minu ya muhayminu*\
   O Grantor of security! O Dominant!

73. يَا عَزِيزُ يَا جَبَّارُ\
   *ya \`azizu ya jabbaru*\
   O Mighty! O Omnipotent!

74. يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ يَا اللَّهُ\
   *ya mutakabbiru ya allahu*\
   O All-great! O Allah!

75. يَا خَالِقُ يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ\
   *ya khaliqu ya bari'u ya musawwiru*\
   O Creator! O Maker! O Fashioner!

76. يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ\
   *ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu*\
   O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!

77. لَكَ ٱلاسْمَاءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ\
   *laka al-asma'u alhusna*\
   To You are the Most Excellent Names,

78. وَٱلامْثَالُ ٱلْعُلْيَا\
   *wal-amthalu al\`ulya*\
   the most elevated examples,

79. وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَٱلآلاَءُ\
   *walkibriya’u wal-ala'u*\
   greatness, and bounties.

80. اسْالُكَ انْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *as'aluka an tusalliya \`ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin*\
   I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

81. وَانْ تَجْعَلَ ٱسْمِي فِي هٰذِهِ ٱللَّيْلَةِ فِي ٱلسُّعَدَاءِ\
   *wa an taj\`ala ismi fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu\`ada'i*\
   include my name with the list of the happiest ones,

82. وَرُوحِي مَعَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ\
   *wa ruhi ma\`a alshshuhada'i*\
   add my soul to the martyrs,

83. وَإِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ\
   *wa ihsani fi \`illiyyina*\
   record my good deeds in the most exalted rank,

84. وَإِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً\
   *wa isa'ati maghfuratan*\
   decide my offense to be forgiven,

85. وَانْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي\
   *wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi*\
   grant me certitude that fills in my heart

86. وَإِيـمَاناً يُذْهِبُ ٱلشَّكَّ عَنِّي\
   *wa imanan yudhhibu alshshakka \`anni*\
   and faith that removes doubt from me,

87. وَتُرْضِيَنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي\
   *wa turdiyani bima qasamta li*\
   make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me,

88. وَآتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً\
   *wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan*\
   grant us reward in this world

89. وَفِي ٱلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً\
   *wa fi al-akhirati hasanatan*\
   and reward in the Hereafter,

90. وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْحَرِيقِ\
   *wa qina \`adhaba alnnari alhariqi*\
   save us from the torment of the burning Fire,

91. وَٱرْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَٱلرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ\
   *warzuqni fiha dhikraka wa shukraka walrraghbata ilayka*\
   and confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, desiring for You,

92. وَٱلإِنَابَةَ وَٱلتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ\
   *wal-inabata walttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin \`alayhi wa \`alayhimu alssalamu*\
   turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.

93. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ‌ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَ الْأُنْثى\
   O Allah, I ask You, O He who created the male and female

94. ‌ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ إِذا تُمْنى‌\

95. يَا مَنْ‌ أَهْلَكَ عاداً الْأُولى‌ وَ ثَمُودَ\
   O He who destroyed 'Ad the first and Thamud

102. فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ\

103. يَا مَنْ نَجَّى آلَ لُوطٍ بِسَحَرٍ نِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِهِ\
   O He who saved the family of Lot at dawn, as a favor from Him.

104. كَذَلِكَ يَجْزِي مَنْ شَكَرَ\
   Thus, He rewards those who are grateful.

105. يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ بِقَدَرِ\

106. يَا مَنْ أَخَذَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ‌ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ\

   and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

111. يَا مَنْ‌ هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَ الْآخِرُ\
   O He who is the First and the Last,

112. وَ الظَّاهِرُ وَ الْباطِنُ\

113. وَ هُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَلِيمٌ‌\

115. أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عِتْرَتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ\
   to send blessings on Muhammad and his pure progeny,

116. وَ أَنْ تَفُكَّ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ\
   and to free my neck from the Fire.

117. يَا مَنْ أَيَادِيهِ وَ نِعَمُهُ لَا تُحْصَى بِعَدَدٍ\
   O He whose favors and blessings cannot be counted

118. وَ لَا تُكَافَى بِعَمَلٍ\
   or repaid by any action.

119. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي وَ لَمْ أَكُ‌ شَيْئاً مَذْكُوراً\
   Praise be to Allah, who created me when I was nothing mentioned.

120. وَ فَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلًا\

121. وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَزَقَنِي وَ لَمْ أَمْلِكْ شَيْئاً\

   Praise be to Allah, and I seek forgiveness from Allah for every sin

124. وَ أَسْأَلُهُ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا وَ سَاعَتِي هَذِهِ\
   and ask Him in this day, this hour,

125. وَ زَمَانِي أَنْ يَتَكَرَّمَ عَلَيَّ بِالْعَفْوِ مِنْ عَذَابِهِ\
   and this time to be gracious to me with pardon from His punishment,

126. وَ الْإِقَالَةِ مِنْ عِقَابِهِ وَ الْقَبُولِ لِمَا فَرَضَ عَلَيَّ\
   relief from His retribution, acceptance of what He has decreed upon me,

127. وَ أَنْ يَرْزُقَنِي خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ\
   and to grant me the best of this world and the Hereafter.

128. وَ الْأَمْنَ وَ الْعَافِيَةَ وَ الْغِنَى وَ الْمَغْفِرَةَ\
   And security, well-being, wealth, and forgiveness.

129. إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ\
   Indeed, You are capable of everything.

130. وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ\
   And may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.
