## Preface

Perform Ghusl in flowing water and splash thirty palmfuls of water on the head. This act brings about security against all pains and ailments up to the next year. It is recommended to wash one’s face with a handful of rose water so as to be saved against humiliation and poverty, and to pour some of it on the head so as to be saved from pleurisy. TWO RAKAAT SALAAT: in the first of which after Sura Hamd recite Sura Fath (Sura no 48)\
, in the second rakat after the recitation of Sura Hamd recite any other Surah. If one offers this prayer, Almighty Allah will save him from all evils and will keep him under His custody up to the next year. TWO RAKAAT SALAAT: in the first of which after Sura Hamd recite Sura Ikhlaas thirty times, in the second rakat after the recitation of Sura Hamd recite Sura Qadr thirty times. Thereafter give alms (Sadaqah). Whoever does so, will have purchased from Allah, his safety for the month.

## Text

1. اللّهُمّ اجْعَلْ صِيَامِي فِيهِ صِيَامَ الصَّائِمِينَ،\
   *allahumma aj\`al siyamy fihi siyama alssa’imina*\
   O Allah: on this day , (please) decide my fasting to be as same as the fasting of the true fasters,

2. وَقِيَامِي فِيهِ قِيَامَ القَائِمِينَ،\
   *wa qiyamy fihi qiyama alqa’imina*\
   And decide my acts of worships to be as same as the worship of the worshippers.

3. وَنَبّهْنِي فِيهِ عَنْ نَوْمَةِ الغَافِلِينَ،\
   *wa nabbihny fihi \`an nawmati alghafilina*\
   And (please) awaken me from the slumber of the inadvertent ones.

4. وَهَبْ لِي جُرْمِي فِيهِ يَا إِلهَ العَالَمِينَ،\
   *wa hab li jurmy fihi ya ilaha al\`alamina*\
   And excuse my offense on this day, O the God of the worlds.

5. وَاعْفُ عَنّي يَا عَافِياً عَنِ المُجْرِمِينَ.\
   *wa\`fu \`anni ya \`afiyan \`ani almujrimina*\
   And (please) pardon me; O He Who pardons the offender.

6. اللَّهُمَّ قَدْ حَضَرَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ\
   *allahumma qad hadara shahru ramadana*\
   O Allah, the month of Ramadan has commenced.

7. وَقَدِ ٱفْتَرضْتَ عَلَيْنَا صِيَامَهُ\
   *wa qadi aftardta \`alayna siyamahu*\
   You have made obligatory upon us to observe fasting during it.

8. وَأَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ ٱلْقُرْآنَ\
   *wa anzalta fihi alqur'ana*\
   You revealed the Qur'an in it

9. هُدَىً لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلْفُرْقَانِ\
   *hudan lilnnasi wa bayyinatin min alhuda wal-furqani*\
   as guidance for people and clear proofs of true guidance and distinction (between the right and the wrong).

10. اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنَّا عَلَىٰ صِيَامِهِ\
   *allahumma a\`inna \`ala siyamihi*\
   O Allah, (please) help us observe fasting in it,

11. وَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنَّا\
   *wa taqabbalhu minna*\
   accept it from us,

12. وَتَسَلَّمْهُ مِنا\
   *wa tasallamhu minna*\
   receive it from us (with acceptance),

13. وَسَلِّمْهُ لَنَا فِي يُسْرٍ مِنْكَ وَعَافِيَةٍ\
   *wa sallimhu lana fi yusrin minka wa \`afiyatin*\
   and keep it sound for us with easiness and good health from You.

14. إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ\
   *innaka \`ala kulli shay'in qadirun*\
   You indeed have power over all things.

15. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ ٱلَّذِي دَانَ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ\
   *allahumma inni as'aluka bismika alladhi dana lahu kullu shay'in*\
   O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your Name before which everything kneels down,

16. وَبِرَحْمَتِكَ ٱلَّتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa birahmatika allati wasi\`at kulla shay'in*\
   in the name of Your mercy which encompasses everything,

17. وَبِعَظَمَتِكَ ٱلَّتِي تَوَاضَعَ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa bi\`azamatika allati tawada\`a laha kullu shay'in*\
   in the name of Your greatness which dwarfs everything,

18. وَبِعِزَّتِكَ ٱلَّتِي قَهَرَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa bi\`izzatika allati qaharat kulla shay'in*\
   in the name of Your power which subdues everything,

19. وَبِقُوَّتِكَ ٱلَّتِي خَضَعَ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa biquwwatika allati khada\`a laha kullu shay'in*\
   in the name of Your control which dominates everything,

20. وَبِجَبَرُوتِكَ ٱلَّتِي غَلَبَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa bijabarutika allati ghalabat kulla shay'in*\
   in the name of Your omnipotence which overreaches and possesses everything,

21. وَبِعِلْمِكَ ٱلَّذِي أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa bi\`ilmika alladhi ahata bikulli shay'in*\
   and in the name of Your knowledge which comprehends everything.

22. يَا نُورُ يَا قُدُّوسُ\
   *ya nuru ya quddusu*\
   O Light! O Holy!

23. يَا أَوَّلُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ\
   *ya awwalu qabla kulli shay'in*\
   O Foremost before everything!

24. وَيَا بَاقِياً بَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ\
   *wa ya baqiyan ba\`da kulli shay'in*\
   O Ever-living after all things!

25. يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ\
   *ya allahu ya rahmanu*\
   O Allah! O All-beneficent!

26. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *salli \`ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin*\
   Send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

27. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تُغَيِّرُ ٱلنِّعَمَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati tughayyiru alnni\`ama*\
   forgive me my sins that alter the bounties,

28. وَاغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تُنْزِلُ ٱلنِّقَمَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati tunzilu alnniqama*\
   forgive me my sins that bring in punishments,

29. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تَقْطَعُ ٱلرَّجَاءَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati taqta\`u alrraja'a*\
   forgive me my sins that cut off hope,

30. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تُدِيلُ ٱلأَعْدَاءَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati tudilu ala\`da'a*\
   forgive me my sins that give ascendancy to the enemies,

31. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تَرُدُّ ٱلدُّعَاءَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati taruddu alddu\`a'a*\
   forgive me my sins that preclude the prayers,

32. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي يُسْتَحَقُّ بِهَا نُزُولُ ٱلْبَلاَءِ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati yustahaqqu biha nuzulu albala'i*\
   forgive me my sins that make me liable to suffer misfortunes,

33. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تَحْبِسُ غَيْثَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati tahbisu ghaytha alssama'i*\
   forgive me my sins that stops the rain of the sky,

34. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تَكْشِفُ ٱلْغِطَاءَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati takshifu alghita'a*\
   forgive me my sins that lay bare the sealed,

35. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تُعَجِّلُ ٱلْفَنَاءَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati tu\`ajjilu alfana'a*\
   forgive me my sins that whip off destruction,

36. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تُورِثُ ٱلنَّدَمَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati turithu alnnadama*\
   forgive me my sins that leave behind remorse,

37. وَٱغْفِرْ لِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبَ ٱلَّتِي تَهْتِكُ ٱلْعِصَمَ\
   *waghfir liya aldhdhunuba allati tahtiku al\`isama*\
   forgive me my sins that tear up my integrity,

38. وَأَلْبِسْنِي دِرْعَكَ ٱلحَصِينَةَ الَّتِي لاَ تُرَامُ\
   *wa albisni dir\`aka alhasinata allati la turamu*\
   surround me with Your impregnable and invincible shield,

39. وَعَافِنِي مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أُحَاذِرُ بِٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ فِي مُسْتَقْبَلِ سَنَتِي هٰذِهِ\
   *wa \`afini min sharri ma uhadhiru billayli walnnahari fi mustaqbali sanati hadhihi*\
   and keep me safe from the evil of I beware in nights and days in the beginning of this year.

40. اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ ٱلسَّبْعِ\
   *allahumma rabba alssamawati alssab\`i*\
   O Allah, the Lord of the seven skies,

41. وَرَبَّ ٱلأَرَضِينَ ٱلسَّبْعِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ وَمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ\
   *wa rabba al-aradina alssab\`i wa ma fihinna wa ma baynahunna*\
   the Lord of the seven (layers of) earth, all that is therein, and all that is between them,

42. وَرَبَّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ\
   *wa rabba al\`arshi al\`azimi*\
   the Lord of the Great Throne,

43. وَرَبَّ ٱلسَّبْعِ ٱلْمَثَانِي وَٱلْقُرْآنِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ\
   *wa rabba alssab\`i almathani walqur'ani al\`azimi*\
   the Lord of the seven oft-repeated verses and the matchless Quran,

44. وَرَبَّ إِسْرَافِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَجَبْرَائِيلَ\
   *wa rabba israfila wa mika'ila wa jabra'ila*\
   the Lord of (Archangels) Seraph, Michael, and Gabriel,

45. وَرَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ سَيِّدِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ وَخَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ\
   *wa rabba muhammadin salla allahu \`alayhi wa alihi sayyidi almursalina wa khatami alnnabiyyina*\
   and the Lord of Muhammad, blessings of Allah be on him and on his Household, the Chief of the Messengers, the Seal of Prophet!

46. أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَ وَبِمَا سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ\
   *as'aluka bika wa bima sammayta bihi nafsaka*\
   I beseech You in Your name and in the name of that which You referred to Yourself!

47. يَا عَظِيمُ أَنْتَ ٱلَّذِي تَمُنُّ بِٱلْعَظِيمِ\
   *ya \`azimu anta alladhi tamunnu bil\`azimi*\
   O Great! You are He who distributes bounties freely,

48. وَتَدْفَعُ كُلَّ مَحْذُورٍ\
   *wa tadfa\`u kulla mahdhurin*\
   repels all avoided things,

49. وَتُعْطِي كُلَّ جَزِيلٍ\
   *wa tu\`ti kulla jazilin*\
   gives all abundant things,

50. وَتُضَاعِفُ ٱلْحَسَنَاتِ بِٱلْقَلِيلِ وَبِٱلْكَثِيرِ\
   *wa tuda\`ifu alhasanati bilqalili wa bilkathiri*\
   doubles the recompense of good deeds with little and much recompense,

51. وَتَفْعَلُ مَا تَشَاءُ\
   *wa taf\`alu ma tasha'u*\
   and does what He wills.

52. يَا قَدِيرُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ\
   *ya qadiru ya allahu ya rahmanu*\
   O Omnipotent! O Allah! O All-beneficent!

53. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ\
   *salli \`ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi*\
   Send blessings to Muhammad and his Household,

54. وَأَلْبِسْنِي فِي مُسْتَقْبِلِ سَنَتِي هٰذِهِ سِتْرَكَ\
   *wa albisni fi mustaqbili sanati hadhihi sitraka*\
   surround me, during this year, with Your protection,

55. وَنَضِّرْ وَجْهِي بِنُورِكَ\
   *wa naddir wajhi binurika*\
   let Your light beautify my face,

56. وَأَحِبَّنِي بِمَحَبَّتِكَ\
   *wa ahibbani bimahabbatika*\
   let Your love draw me clos to You,

57. وَبَلِّغْنِي رِضْوَانَكَ\
   *wa ballighni ridwanaka*\
   and let Your pleasure to reach me

58. وَشَرِيفَ كَرَامَتِكَ\
   *wa sharifa karamatika*\
   as well as Your excellent generosity

59. وَجَسِيمَ عَطِيَّتِكَ\
   *wa jasima \`atiyyatika*\
   and Your weighty rewards.

60. وَأَعْطِنِي مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا عِنْدَكَ\
   *wa a\`tini min khayri ma \`indaka*\
   Give me from the good that You have

61. وَمِنْ خَيْرِ مَا أَنْتَ مُعْطِيهِ أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ\
   *wa min khayri ma anta mu\`tihi ahadan min khalqika*\
   and from the good You give to any one from among Your creation,

62. وَأَلْبِسْنِي مَعَ ذٰلِكَ عَافِيَتَكَ\
   *wa albisni ma\`a dhalika \`afiyataka*\
   and with that kind of Your protection, keep me safe.

63. يَا مَوْضِعَ كُلِّ شَكْوَىٰ\
   *ya mawdi\`a kulli shakwa*\
   O He Who settles all complaints!

64. وَيَا شَاهِدَ كُلِّ نَجْوَىٰ\
   *wa ya shahida kulli najwa*\
   O He Who witnesses all confidential talks!

65. وَيَا عَالِمَ كُلِّ خَفِيَّةٍ\
   *wa ya \`alima kulli khafiyyatin*\
   O He Who knows all hidden things!

66. وَيَا دَافِعَ مَا تَشَاءُ مِنْ بَلِيَّةٍ\
   *wa ya dafi\`a ma tasha'u min baliyyatin*\
   O He Who repels whatever misfortune He wishes!

67. يَا كَرِيمَ ٱلْعَفْوِ\
   *ya karima al\`afwi*\
   O He Who is oft-forgiving compassionate!

68. يَا حَسَنَ ٱلتَّجَاوُزِ\
   *ya hasana alttajawuzi*\
   O He Who overlooks excellently!

69. تَوَفَّنِي عَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَفِطْرَتِهِ\
   *tawaffani \`ala millati ibrahima wa fitratihi*\
   Make me die following religion and nature of Abraham,

70. وَعَلَىٰ دِينِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسُنَّتِهِ\
   *wa \`ala dini muhammadin salla allahu \`alayhi wa alihi wa sunnatihi*\
   the faith and traditions of Muhammad,

71. وَعَلَىٰ خَيْرِ ٱلْوَفَاةِ فَتَوَفَّنِي مُوَالِياً لأَوْلِيَائِكَ\
   *wa \`ala khayri alwafati fatawaffani muwaliyan li-awliya'ika*\
   with the best departure, make me die following Your friends,

72. وَمُعَادِياً لأَعْدَائِكَ\
   *wa mu\`adiyan li-a\`da'ika*\
   and antagonizing Your enemies.

73. اللَّهُمَّ وَجَنِّبْنِي فِي هٰذِهِ السَّنَةِ\
   *allahumma wa jannibni fi hadhihi alssanati*\
   O Allah, keep me far off, during his year,

74. كُلَّ عَمَلٍ أَوْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ فِعْلٍ يُبَاعِدُنِي مِنْكَ\
   *kulla \`amalin aw qawlin aw fi\`lin yuba\`iduni minka*\
   from every deed, word, or act that takes me away from You,

75. وَٱجْلِبْنِي إِلَىٰ كُلِّ عَمَلٍ أَوْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ فِعْلٍ\
   *wajlibni ila kulli \`amalin aw qawlin aw fi\`lin*\
   bring me near to every deed, word, or act

76. يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنْكَ فِي هٰذِهِ ٱلسَّنَةَ\
   *yuqarribuni minka fi hadhihi alssanata*\
   that takes me near to You in this year.

77. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ\
   *ya arhama alrrahimina*\
   O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

78. وَٱمْنَعْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ عَمَلٍ أَوْ قَوْلٍ أَوْ فِعْلٍ\
   *wamna\`ni min kulli \`amalin aw qawlin aw fi\`lin*\
   Forbid me to do any deed, word, or act

79. يَكُونُ مِنِّي أَخَافُ ضَرَرَ عَاقِبَتِهِ\
   *yakunu minni akhafu darara \`aqibatihi*\
   that I fear its result,

80. وَأَخَافُ مَقْتَكَ إِيَّايَ عَلَيْهِ\
   *wa akhafu maqtaka iyyaya \`alayhi*\
   and I fear Your wrath because of it;

81. حِذَارَ أَنْ تَصْرِفَ وَجْهَكَ ٱلْكَرِيمَ عَنِّي\
   *hidhara an tasrifa wajhaka alkarima \`anni*\
   lest, You may turn Your Noble Face away from me.

82. فَأَسْتَوْجِبَ بِهِ نَقْصاً مِنْ حَظٍّ لِي عِنْدَكَ\
   *fa'astawjiba bihi naqsan min hazzin li \`indaka*\
   Then, I am restrained from obtaining my share of good fortune.

83. يَا رَؤُوفُ يَا رَحِيمُ\
   *ya ra'ufu ya rahimu*\
   O Compassionate! O Merciful!

84. اللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي فِي مُسْتَقْبِلِ سَنَتِي هٰذِهِ فِي حِفْظِكَ\
   *allahumma ij\`alni fi mustaqbili sanati hadhihi fi hifzika*\
   O Allah, keep me, throughout this year, under Your protection,

85. وَفِي جِوَارِكَ وَفِي كَنَفِكَ\
   *wa fi jiwarika wa fi kanafika*\
   in Your vicinity, and under Your care.

86. وَجَلِّلْنِي سِتْرَ عَافِيَتِكَ\
   *wa jallilni sitra \`afiyatika*\
   Cover me with Your protective covering,

87. وَهَبْ لِي كَرَامَتَكَ\
   *wa hab li karamataka*\
   and give me Your kindness.

88. عَزَّ جَارُكَ\
   *\`azza jaruka*\
   Strong is he who is in Your vicinity,

89. وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ\
   *wa jalla thana'uka*\
   glorious is Your praise,

90. وَلاَ إِلٰهَ غَيْرُكَ\
   *wa la ilaha ghayruka*\
   and there is no god but You.

91. اللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي تَابِعاً لِصَالِحِي مَنْ مَضَىٰ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ\
   *allahumma ij\`alni tabi\`an lisalihi man mada min awliya'ika*\
   O Allah, make me follow the example of Your upright intimate servants,

92. وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِهِمْ\
   *wa alhiqni bihim*\
   attach me to them,

93. وَٱجْعَلْنِي مُسَلِّماً لِمَنْ قَالَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ عَلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ\
   *waj\`alni musalliman liman qala bilssidqi \`alayka minhum*\
   make me submissive to those who convey from You truthfully.

94. وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ أَنْ تُحِيطَ بِي خَطِيئَتِي وَظُلْمِي\
   *wa a\`udhu bika allahumma an tuhita bi khati'ati wa zulmi*\
   I seek Your protection, O my God, lest I am encompassed by my sin, wrongdoing,

95. وَإِسْرَافِي عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي وَٱتِّبَاعِي لِهَوَايَ\
   *wa israfi \`ala nafsi wattiba\`i lihawaya*\
   immoderation towards myself, going after my whims,

96. وَٱشْتِغَالِي بِشَهَوَاتِي\
   *washtighali bishahawati*\
   and being involved in my caprices;

97. فَيَحُولُ ذٰلِكَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ\
   *fayahulu dhalika bayni wa bayna rahmatika wa ridwanika*\
   as a result, all that will prevent me from attained Your mercy and pleasure

98. فَأَكُونُ مَنْسِيّاً عِنْدَكَ\
   *fa-akunu mansiyyan \`indaka*\
   and I may be forsaken by You

99. مُتَعَرِّضاً لِسَخَطِكَ وَنِقْمَتِكَ\
   *muta\`arridan lisakhatika wa niqmatika*\
   and exposed to Your wrath and chastisement.

100. اللَّهُمَّ وَفِّقْنِي لِكُلِّ عَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ تَرْضَىٰ بِهِ عَنِّي\
   *allahumma waffiqni likulli \`amalin salihin tarda bihi \`anni*\
   O Allah, please guide me successfully to every righteous deed due to which You be pleased with me

101. وَقَرِّبْنِي إِلَيْكَ زُلْفَىٰ\
   *wa qarribni ilayka zulfa*\
   and take me nearer to You.

102. اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا كَفَيْتَ نَبِيَّكَ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ هَوْلَ عَدُوِّهِ\
   *allahumma kama kafayta nabiyyaka muhammadan salla allahu \`alayhi wa alihi hawla \`aduwwihi*\
   O Allah, just as You saved Your Prophet Muhammad—blessings of Allah be on him and his Household—from the terror of his enemies,

103. وَفَرَّجْتَ هَمَّهُ\
   *wa farrajta hammahu*\
   removed his anxieties,

104. وَكَشَفْتَ غَمَّهُ\
   *wa kashafta ghammahu*\
   dispersed his troubles,

105. وَصَدَقْتَهُ وَعْدَكَ\
   *wa sadaqtahu wa\`daka*\
   proved true the promise You made to him,

106. وَأَنْجَزْتَ لَهُ عَهْدَكَ\
   *wa anjazta lahu \`ahdaka*\
   and fulfilled Your word to him,

107. اللَّهُمَّ فَبِذٰلِكَ فَٱكْفِنِي هَوْلَ هٰذِهِ ٱلسَّنَةِ\
   *allahumma fabidhalika fakfini hawla hadhihi alssanati*\
   so also, O Allah, keep me safe from the horror of this year

108. وَآفَاتِهَا وَأَسْقَامَهَا\
   *wa afatiha wa asqamaha*\
   as well as its epidemics, ailments,

109. وَفِتْنَتَهَا وَشُرُورَهَا\
   *wa fitnataha wa shururaha*\
   sedition, evils,

110. وَأَحْزَانَهَا وَضِيقَ ٱلْمَعَاشِ فِيهَا\
   *wa ahzanaha wa diqa alma\`ashi fiha*\
   sadnesses, and economic distress.

111. وَبَلِّغْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ كَمَالَ ٱلْعَافِيَةِ\
   *wa ballighni birahmatika kamala al\`afiyati*\
   In the name of Your mercy, make me attain perfect wellbeing

112. بِتَمَامِ دَوَامِ ٱلنِّعْمَةِ عِنْدِي إِلَىٰ مُنْتَهَىٰ أَجَلِي\
   *bitamami dawami alnni\`mati \`indi ila muntaha ajali*\
   through the perfection of the perpetuity of Your favors to me up to the end of my lifetime.

113. أَسْأَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مَنْ أَسَاءَ وَظَلَمَ وَٱسْتَكَانَ وَٱعْتَرَفَ\
   *as'aluka su'ala man asa'a wa zalama wastakana wa\`tarafa*\
   I beseech You the beseeching of one who has made mistake and wronged, but then submitted and confessed.

114. وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي مَا مَضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ\
   *wa as'aluka an taghfira li ma mada min aldhdhunubi*\
   I beseech You to forgive those earlier sins

115. ٱلَّتِي حَصَرَتْهَا حَفَظَتُكَ\
   *allati hasarat-ha hafazatuka*\
   which are counted by Your Preserving Angels

116. وَأَحْصَتْهَا كِرَامُ مَلاَئِكَتِكَ عَلَيَّ\
   *wa ahsat-ha kiramu mala'ikatika \`alayya*\
   and recorded by Your appointed Angels,

117. وَأَنْ تَعْصِمَنِي ٱللَّهُمَّ مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ\
   *wa an ta\`simani allahumma min aldhdhunubi*\
   to protect me, O Allah, against sinning

118. فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمْرِي إِلَىٰ مُنْتَهَىٰ أَجَلِي\
   *fima baqiya min \`umri ila muntaha ajali*\
   in the rest of my lifetime up to my death.

119. يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحِيمُ\
   *ya allahu ya rahmanu ya rahimu*\
   O Allah! O All-beneficent! O All-merciful!

120. صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ\
   *salli \`ala muhammadin wa ahli bayti muhammadin*\
   Send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

121. وَآتِنِي كُلَّ مَا سَأَلْتُكَ وَرَغِبْتُ إِلَيْكَ فِيهِ\
   *wa atini kulla ma sa'altuka wa raghibtu ilayka fihi*\
   and give me whatever I have asked from You and whatever I have desirably wanted from You,

122. فَإِنَّكَ أَمَرْتَنِي بِٱلدُّعَاءِ\
   *fa'innaka amartani bilddu\`a'i*\
   for You have ordered me to pray You

123. وَتَكَفَّلْتَ لِي بِٱلإِجَابَةِ\
   *wa takaffalta li bil-ijabati*\
   and You have promised of response.

124. يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ\
   *ya arhama alrrahimina*\
   O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
